I'm jealous, I wish had a tongue like that. :cmad: Nice pictures though. :yay:

Buffalo is an excellent source of low-fat, high-protein meat. It's excellent in flavor; much like a very lean cut of beef only a bit richer in overall flavor. What I'm getting at, Malice, is that you should have eaten that buffalo.

I always found Buffalo to be slightly gamey, but found that to be somewhat appetizing. Makes for a very good bbq.

It can be a little gamey, depending on how it was dressed at butchering time. Nowhere near as gamey as venison, though, which I almost can't stand to eat due to that gamey factor. Given my druthers, I'd eat elk all the time, though. Man is that stuff great.

Do you go hunting or do you buy it from somewhere?

I don't like the thread so far, and I don't like Malice so far, but this should totally get "Thread Title of the Year".

I was really intrigued...right before I clicked on it.

Very seductive thread title.

(for n00bs...3 "thumbs up"'s means, "Zero Sarcasm"...I'm jazzed about this thread title!)

I quit hunting big game awhile ago because I just really don't enjoy it that much. I like hunting birds and that's about it anymore. My brother and father usually go for elk every year and give me some when they do get an elk. Buffalo is only found wild in certain parts of the country and is usually protected and/or has a VERY limited number of tags allowed for hunting, so I've never hunted that, but there are plenty of farms raising buffalo so it's not hard to find for purchase. The last big game I shot was an antelope and that was also very good eating.

I sometimes go hunting with my Father and brother for white tale deer, I don't have a huge interest in hunting but it's "male bonding" and it involves many a beer.
