If you're a Destiny fan and you're planning to play later this evening, you'd best be patching now. Today's update is a whopping 2.44GB and it adds everything from team chat to multiplayer map tweaks to shaders to the new Iron Banner mode.

Does all that really add up to 2.44GB, though? Not exactly, according to Bungie's Twitter account which says that the patch also includes "new playable spaces to support The Dark Below" expansion that launches on December 9th.

I find it odd people are still looking for traditional cutscenes and such. This just isn't Halo. Also, how have they given up when no DLC has even hit? Not that I expect that to have a whole lot of story either, but I'm not sure what you were expecting to change in the last couple of weeks? The game is bad. This was my most anticipated game of the generation and I got rid of it. It plays like really boring Halo obviously without a single drop of story.. I don't care how much they promise us for Destiny 2 in 2015 (I fully expect this series to become a yearly thing) I ain't buying it. Bungie and Activision can take a flying leap.

I went with the $90 digital collector's edition, and boy do I regret spending that much on the game. I thought the beta would be a representation of what we would see in the game, but it actually included all the earth missions in their full form. What a disappointment.

I haven't touched the game for several weeks now. I wanted to try it again when the DLC comes out, but I don't know if I should even bother, since it just adds a small number of story missions. And we know the story will be non-existent.

Damn, man. That's rough. There aren't many games I would pay 90 dollars for period.
