Yeah.. But I'm past that now. This recent update shows what they've done and what they're doing to improve so.. Maybe we'll get all that stuff back?

The new leveling system is also ace.

I'm still on the fence about this.

I'm not a big fan of FPS games in general. I make exceptions for story driven games that I find interesting like Bioshock Infinite.

but with Destiny, the story aspect is lacking.

but I do like the Sci Fi setting.

or are the story bits just sparsely scattered about through the game?

it seems like they're putting in a lot more time and effort into the story
I hear the opening cutscene for TTK is pretty bonkers, and that there are several more quality scenes throughout the new story
and all these new quest lines look like they're gunna flesh out a lot of the game's fiction

I'm still quite confused by some of the changes (the whole year 1 vs year 2 exotics, can we upgrade our old exotics to the higher level?) but overall I'm excited to try out the new stuff

I'm cautiously optimistic, I guess.

I think I'll wait for the reviews and reactions, and maybe wait for a good sale/deal around BF or Xmas.

I dunno, haven't played it yet.. fireteam chat podcast on IGN has and they said the story is indeed "there."

Also in regards to exotics.. Some you can upgrade others will be left behind.

NolanBot blows Dinklebot out of the water. NolanBot sounds interested and invested with what you're doing.. Dinklebot just sounded bored and depressed.. Like he needed a drink.

I got a random mission on Venus today.. Scrambled message. Did a few things to unscramble them.. Then my Ghost said "no idea what that was all about. I guess we'll find out soon." Then mission complete.

Well they have uber-nerferd my playstyle, both Thorn and Last Word are severely limited in PvP now, getting wrecked now. I guess thats what the community wanted though.

Does mean I have to adapt or die to new PvP though, and at the moment its pretty much just the latter. Not a fan of the new maps either but that may just take getting used to.

Its not swayed me to get TTK until a price drop though I dont think.

They want you to move on to other guns. Many of the Year One weapons are going to become useless in MP and lacking in SP.. But you'll be able to feed them to your new weapons.. So hold on to them.

do you have to take part in raids or multiplayer to acquire certain gear or progress the story?

is it possible to complete 100% of the story missions solo in single player?

Yeah clearly they do, I guess they had to make people want to buy TTK as well otherwise there would be no insentive to upgrade.

Its just a matter of finding a new weapon and getting used to it. Hopefully there will be some awesome new hand cannons but I think with so much coming up I shall wait for it be better value for money.

I do like some of the changes to the Ui and things like being able to turn in bounty's on the fly without being forced back to the tower.

You can do the entire story solo unless strikes are part of story. They utilize matchmaking.

I think I'll pass on this. or at least wait until it's for sale for a really good price.

Again, FPS usually aren't my cup of tea, and there are so many other games coming out in the next few months.

Given what I know about Destiny, I just don't think I'll enjoy it much.
