While I have no moral judgments about people who are starving eating horses, dogs, etc. in other countries (or here, I suppose, in certain regions) I think as people in a first world country we can have some standards for our behavior and not eat horses and dogs. They're pets in this country and many of them are already treated cruddy enough, abused, etc. without people also eating them. Context matters.

Pigs make great pets, and many are kept as pets, even in this country. So why is eating them acceptable, given your "context?"

I didn't even know there still was Taco Bell in the UK and Spain.
Taco Bell tried the UK market in the 90s and flopped

Turns out there used to be Taco Bell's in the UK in the late 80s. I was too young to remember it I guess.

I can see why Taco Bell never took off in the UK like other U.S fast food franchises. The ones around now are in Essex.

Wahaca Mexican chain has better food

Pretty much every other Mexican restaurant ever made has better food than Taco Bell, but sometimes you just need some cheap 50p (or however much they cost there) tacos.

I wish every fast food joint just shutdown. For whatever reason, just all stopped serving. How many more fat kids are we going to raise before we understand Fast Food is the genital wart of our existence.

If you shut down the fast food joints, kids would get just as fat off of other stuff. The problem isn't where the food comes from, but eating and exercise habits in general. There's nothing wrong with the occasional double bacon triple cheese mega-burger and fries, but there is a problem when you eat it everyday twice a day while sitting on a Rascal.

I'm not shocked that a meat product that costs 79p has horse dna in it. Even if these things don't have horsemeat you can bet its not the good cuts of meat anyway.

The only thing that'd shock me about the meat served at Taco Bell would be the presence of beef.
