Hey there gamer people, I bought COH/COV a while back to learn that my graphics wont support this bad ass looking game. Well it's high time I bought a new card and i'm gonna do it today so if anyone has a specific card they use that's within the $100 range please let me know. :joker:

Id recomment the 8600GT. Its what I have and it runs great. It is direct X 10 capable and can run pretty much everything thats out right now. Id search around for prices but you should be able to get it for around $120ish with some sales

yeah I went to my local Staples and bought an ATI Radeon stealth diamond 9250 for about $104.00 us. It isn't top of the line but it's a decent little 256mb PCI card. wish I had PCIe but I don't lol. But thanks all the same since your the only one who's replied.

go 8800 Ultra SLI!! :woot: ......:cwink:

WhatsHisFace's mind was destroyed in a sky diving accident :(

Anyways, I got a 8600, I'm pretty happy with it. It kills anything I've tried to play.

Hmm, isn't upgrading to a decent card without a PCI-E slot tough at this point? I still have an old motherboard with an AGP graphics card.

Eh, I'm gonna upgrade to a better processor eventually anyway, which means a new MB that I will make sure has a PCI-E slot or two.

For the OP, make sure to buy from either newegg.com or tigerdirect.com, you can usually save quite a bit of money on those two, provided you know what to look for.

AGP isn't allowed to go the way of PCI. Maybe they'll make an AGP Express one day, even though it sounds like Coffee.

AGP is already practically dead. I don't think they're making mobo's anymore that don't have at least one pci-e slot.

They are. They're just in very short supply, or they're really cheap boards for non-gaming computers. Odds are, however, if the board does have a PCI-E slot, it probably won't have an AGP slot as well. The PCI-E has displaced the AGP almost completely on newer boards.

Just bought an 8500GT and jacked up the virtual memory to 10GB/12GB. Beautiful...
