Oh that's so sad! I'm going to miss Roger! I haven't read all the stories with him, but he was still cool. Mignola created a good character.

i havent read 'Universal Machine' either, but i read the synopsis and i just knew that Roger wasnt gonna make it out alive. they've "nearly" killed so many characters throughout the series = Abe in 'Plague of Frogs', Liz more times than i can remember, it was gonna come to a point where there was no jeopardy anymore, you just knew they were all going to make it through any situation. no matter how much u dont want to, you *need* to kill off characters in any story just to keep the readers on the edge of their seats.

Roger was great, i really loved his character and im really gonna miss him
