Will it be as complicated as inception? My brain was stressed out following it the first time...
Don't worry. There are lots of characters explaining everything that's going on.

ppl will start praising Grace after he does 1 film with Nolan
I thought you said the script was relatively lacking in exposition?Don't worry. There are lots of characters explaining everything that's going on.![]()

Some random thoughts on this film (if I may):
I have to say, I'm relieved that Nolan is exploring such different territory. He really seems to have shuffled up the deck and radically changed his "image" or "style", if you will. A drastically different cast that is outside his comfort zone can only be a good thing.
- This feels like a Nolan cast, yet it totally doesn't.
- Plus it's such a wilder sci-fi idea than he's done before.
- It's with Paramount - not just WB.
- And he's not with Wally Pfister anymore.
Only two Nolan veterans returning (Hathaway and Caine)? Awesome.
I might be more excited for this than I was for TDKR, one reason being, it was basically Christian Bale Featuring The Cast of Inception. I really thought we would have a similar problem with Interstellar. It's not a bad thing, but I was worried that Nolan was getting too obvious.
John Lithgow being in a Christopher Nolan movie is incredibly awesome.
Ellen Burstyn being in a Christopher Nolan movie is incredibly awesome.
I love, love, love that Nolan takes chances with actors like Topher Grace and Wes Bentley. That's such a cool move, and nobody of his caliber is really making moves like that.
God, I'm just really, really impressed, relieved, excited, etc.
NOTE: How long will it take before the Internet realizes there are no black people in this cast?
i dont think Danny Boyle was racist when he cast actors for Sunshine. everyone could have been white in Sunshine.I know.
Oddly enough, I almost think it's more racist to purposely cast minorities in movie casts like this, just to be diverse. As if to say, "Look, we need a diverse cast to sell tickets to more demographics... Any Latinos we can round up?"
If anything, Nolan is not being racist, because he's just casting his damn movie, and that's the cast he wants, not the cast that will be more politically correct and successful according to suits.
You know, this is a very unconventional film, when you think about it. More so than Inception.

t:I loved the script. It's definitely the most ambitious thing Nolan has tackled yet. And it feels like an old school Spielberg film. Visually it should be something we've never seen before. It just has all the elements of something really special.
BUT, and this isn't really a bad thing... It doesn't have that "Whoa" element to it that Inception or Memento had. There were random moments in Inception where I just sort of leaned back and thought, "Damn, this is nuts," whereas with Interstellar, the story isn't necessarily crazy or mind-bending. It's a pretty straightforward and accessible story. That's where I think Nolan has made some big, big changes. Christopher Nolan isn't the type of man who is going to take a concept and story like this and just make it simple. There's going to be a head-scratching factor to it that the 2008 script doesn't have.
You mean just like clean slate?Don't worry. There are lots of characters explaining everything that's going on.![]()

Has the film announced its DP yet? It will be such a shame to lose Pfister's work. The stuff he could have done with a film that sounds like this would have been amazing.
Hoyte Van Hoytema will be Nolans cinematographer for Interstellar. Hoytema is a Dutch national who has worked on a handful of well known films, such as Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy and The Fighter. Hoytema received the Nordic Vision Award in 2008 for Let the Right One In, and is also a multiple Guldbagge Award winner.
Isn't he filming again with PTA ? Maybe he declined.
Someone took a picture of the film crew in Nanton,Alberta a few weeks ago, I know it's a blurry image but you can see Hoyte next to Chris in the middle.

This movie exists!there is plenty i bet the following would of workedi dont think Danny Boyle was racist when he cast actors for Sunshine. everyone could have been white in Sunshine.
its no problem. Nolan is playing the hollywood game. its a fact that Nolan likes to cast known actors. and there are no big known black actors who would be side characters for a small paycheck.
it will get interesting if a female character talks to another female character.t:
