Superman III C. Reeve wore a wig in Superman 3?

I had no idea he wore a wig in the 3rd film. Did he wear a wig in all of them?

Reeve didn't wear a wig in 1 and 2, he wore a wig in 3 and 4 because he had an allergic reaction to the black hair dye in 2.

If Reeve did have an allergic reaction with the black hair dye and indeed wore a wig in Superman 3 they why in certain shots it looks like it's brown, couldn't the makeup guys find an all black wig?

Kinda crazy, because im one of the biggest Reeve's fans and always thought he looked a little different/weird in 3 and 4. I just always related it to age and a much less production budget.

I also just watched a "Mistakes in Superman films" on YouTube, and in one scene in Sups 4 you can totally see the wrinkles where the wig meets his forehead.

I always though Reeve looks best in Superman III.

Physically he's bigger, his hair looks better, and his posture is better - he's more confident and owns the screen a lot more than in the previous movies. He really means business in Superman III.
