Universal Pictures has set Nicolas Cage and 50 Cent to star in The Dance, a film based on the life of prison boxing coach Billy "The Kid" Roth, reports Variety.

The project is based on a 2003 documentary directed by John Darling Haynes and produced by Eric Geadelmann. Cage and Norm Golightly executive produced the documentary through their Saturn Films production company with an eye to developing a feature project based around Roth.

Once a successful prizefighter, Roth has spent more than 40 years as a volunteer boxing coach in Louisiana state prisons.

Cage will play Roth, while 50 Cent will play an inmate the coach believes has the talent to be a contender -- the only hindrance being that he's serving a life sentence.

Neil Tolkin (The Emperor's Club) will write the script.

I wonder how many people 50 Cent had to shoot to get another movie role after "Git rich or die tryin'?"

50 Cent? I hate him :down

Nicolas Cage? I like him

But I cant see this film having success.

I don't like this idea.

Does somebody know about new project of Cage, "Next"?

i heard that 50 cent's acting actually wasn't too bad in Get Rich. don't get me wrong, i dislike him immensly, and hate his music, but if he's a good actor then he's a good actor.

Who told you that? lol

Damn the boy fif is serious about the acting thing. Get Rich was standard but now he got the war movie where he's a doctor with Jessica Biel and Samuel L Jackson and now this movie?
Well as long as it keeps away from Hip Hop

Hey, how did ya'll like national Treasure?

I can give it only 6.5/10.

Cage should have more good thrillers or dramatic films like Leaving Las Vegas.

50, stop making movies you idiot. You're not even a likable personality, and you're sure as hell not a good actor.

50 Cent, can you understand it??? If you don't, listen again Alexia Dark!

Yes, I understand. Its 50 Cent, a no-talent pop-rapper whose 'biography' flopped completely. He's not a bankable star.

Whaaaaaaaaa???????

I'll always catch a Cage movie. When he's on, he's easily one of the best.

Im tired of these horrible rappers turned horrible actors taking jobs away from the real actors:down

For real, I was suppose to go a family reunion in North Carolina last summer, took a left and hung out in a trailer park all day. I stood out like JAL in a room full hetrosexuals (no brokeback)
