Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered

Direct quote from GS's review - "The fourth game in the Call of Duty franchise finds itelf suffering from an identity crisis of sorts, due to shooting, escorting, protecting, online, and more, the game has too much variety and can't decide what its meant to be."

:csad:

(My copy of this was posted today. HUZZAH!)

Quit whining about the Ratchet and Clank review already, ya big baby! :cmad:

The only way for that to happen is for Gamespot to give a gushing review of the next big PS3 exclusive.

Holy crap. Ratchet and Clank sucks. I can't believe the ridiculous lengths people are going to for it's honor.

I just can't understand this ******ed fanboy obsession with bad Gamespot review scores. It's as if Gamespot's review somehow ACTUALLY diminished the real value and their enjoyment of the game, and they hate the site for administering that harsh dose of reality. I mean, it's the ONLY logical explanation for this persistent phenomenon.

HI GUYS, I JUST PICKED UP THE GAME AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, JUST WOW!!!:up: I WON'T GIVE ANYTHING AWAY BECAUSE THIS MUST BE EXPERIENCED!!!:D THIS IS ACTUALLY MY FIRST COD GAME AND WHAT AN INTRODUCTION, IF YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF THE YEAR, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!:ninja::D:up:

My copy isn't even shipped yet and its out on Friday over here. :( I probably won't see it till at least Monday now.

Hopefully the online is worthwhile. The campaign is supposed to be really, really short.

They really need to stop making 5 hour long games and then rely on the old "But...but...but...it's teh NEXT GEN GRAFIX!" excuse :(

Yeah I think this is really dissapointing, seeing as so many people *****ed about Heavenly Sword's two hour longer campaign.

Still, 5 hours of AWESOMNESS.

I'm not too cut up about it (even though I think their reasoning is ******ed). The reasoning behind so many fanboys whining about it though, was cause R&C is the first GREAT PS3 exclusive, and with defensive Sony fanboys so happy with it, it cuts them deep to find that one of the big 3 (imo the big 3 being Gamespot, IGN and Gametrailers) only rating it a 7.5.

In order to try and mantain the game's honour, people fight back to try and ruin the review's rep. The fact Gamespot had to explain themselves shows that a little.

5 hours of awesomeness isn't so awesome when it costs $60+.

I might buy this game tonight if Wal-Martyr has it.

12 bucks per hour of awesomeness....hmm....

The main draw is multiplayer. Thats where the best of the game comes from. Its awesome. The more you play it, the better it is. You unlock more perks and weapons and you can customize a whole lot which really affects the kind of style in which you play online. Its adds a lot to playing FPSs online. I'd say thats worth 60 bucks. And if you don't have Live or can't get online, just rent it, the single player looks good as well.

No, I get that.
I'm pretty sure I'll be playing this on Live over Halo 3, and I know it's fantastic, but I'm just saying....damn, make the campaign longer than 5 hours.
That's happening to a lot of games lately, even games without multiplayer.

Not getting this. It looks awesome, I'm just not interested in paying for a campaign that costs $12/hour. :csad:

Im so bored of online multiplayer shooters/etc. Would much prefere a better campaign mode for once and not the excuse of 'people buy it for online play.'

Online multiplayer is great, but at least throw in a decent campaign, like 12-15 hours.

thank god for FPS like Half Life 2 and Bioshock which show that single player FPSs arent dead. Crysis is looking to have a strong single player campaign as well
