I want this to crash and burn, so they stop trying to rival MCU and breeding cash grab cinematic universes.

But if we talk what's the most suitable game for adaptation... I think Black Ops 2 had the best story. Written in part by David S. Goyer, by the way.

Frankly, thought of seeing Captain Price in live action made me geek out a bit.

Though he's in Modern Warfare series.

The OG MW series would actually make a pretty good movie. Seeing the US get EMPd and the crazy race to the White House while being invaded was such an intense series of levels in MW2.

I’m not a gamer so I really have no dog in this fight, but if you’ve got ****ing Steven Spielberg showing interest in making a Call of Duty movie, of all the directors on the planet, why on Earth would you have a problem giving him final cut?

Respectfully, there's no reason to believe Spielberg would make an adaptation resembling the current Modern Warfare series, which is likely the timeline the movies will focus on. It wouldn't be a good fit.
