Cameron Introduces JESUS. No, really...

lol. It's ridiculous to even attempt such a thing. No amount of evidence will change the minds of the devout.

Besides, how does DNA evidence prove anything? Are they going to match it to the Shroud of Turin?

^ Better yet if he busts out of the coffin and starts the Zombie Apocalypse. Now that's a movie I'd pay to see.

hardcore religious freaks would never admit to it, even if it's scientifically proven...

...their beliefs rely on fairy tales, not science.

Its gonna be just like all those other stupid major events about pyramids and garbage that go absolutely no where.

But how can it be proven? It's not like they can just look at the DNA under the microscope and it'll spell 'JESUS'.

:whatever:

Does it really bother you THAT much that people believe in something other than what science tells us?

More than likely. Also, isn't there a place that claims to hold the actual name plate that adorned Jesus' cross after he was nailed? As well as pieces of the actual cross with evidence of blood on or within the wood?

Lots of places claim lots of things. Some temples even claim to have the Arc of the Covenant, (when we know full well it's in a Washington DC warehouse), some Noah's Arc, and others claim to have the holy grail.

The shroud of Turin is ridiculous. Anyone should be able to see that it's a 14th century drawing. The features are not realistic. They're stylized.

I wonder how much that body would go for on EBay.....

I do find it mildly humorous that a man named James Cameron is trying to disprove the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Now they need Jarvis Cocker to do the soundtrack.

"I am not Jesus but I have the same initials. I am the man who stays home and does the dishes."

I personally just think Cameron's just desparate. I'm a Catholic, but I do believe science has disproven a few things. I don't believe in Adam & Eve, and I'm not even sure if I still believe in The Immaculate Conception. This I have no interest in, and I really don't think anything will really be proven.

I think one of the problems with Science is that it tries harder to disprove there is a after life, or god. Than trying to prove it.

Well, there's no way of proving it or disproving it. We can disprove certain things in The Bible, such as what I've mentioned, but we really can't disprove the existence of God or an afterlife. We won't really know if either exist until we're dead.

No news of it in México... maybe its just another "we will resurrect the mamoth" documentary that promises a lot but goes nowhere

I call Shananigans!

If we can look at the tiniest molecule, & see in to the farthest regions of space, we could sure as hell get to a starting point on whether or not there is a after life, or higher power.

Scientists agree there many be several other dimensions and planes of existence we don't yet know about. They also admit there may be other things beyond our universe.

There's most certainly still things about existence we still don't have a clue about.

Yeah, but how do we do that? If we were able to do that, wouldn't we have done it long ago?

The bottom line is that God and an afterlife are unable to be proven or disproven. We can only hope there is. The concept of faith was utilized for a reason.

It has only been 30 some years since DNA was thought about. Be patient. It may not be in our life time. Especially since a lot of scientist go out of there way not to look for it.

The concept of faith is shifty. I find it odd that there for about 100 years god was talking to every body, going to dinner parties. Quite the social cat.

Now there is only 700 club. F**k faith! I want him to start going to dinner parties again!

I'm not an Atheist but I agree that Jesus did not exist.

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in the god-claim presented by christianity.

However, there were plenty of people named "Jesus" in the first century CE.

Jesus ben Ananias- Beginning in 62CE, this Jesus had caused disquiet in Jerusalem with a non-stop doom-laden mantra of ‘Woe to the city’. He prophesied rather vaguely:

"A voice from the east, a voice from the west, a voice from the four winds, a voice against Jerusalem and the holy house, a voice against the bridegrooms and the brides, and a voice against the whole people." (Josephus, Wars 6)

Jesus ben Saphat- In the insurrection of 68CE that wrought havoc in Galilee, this Jesus had led the rebels in Tiberias. When the city was about to fall to Vespasian’s legionaries he fled north to Tarichea on the Sea of Galilee

Just a couple of examples from this site

3). The Jews will once again roam free.

4). An explanation of why they were the only 3 who were in coffins and nobody else from that time period.

5). An explanation of how he can prove its the big three with DNA when there isnt anything else to compare the DNA too (unless he sent Arnold back in time to get a sample).

Christianity is silly, it's a religion some people sat round a table and made up.

I belive there was a guy named Jusus (or something like it) but was he the son of God, and did he do all those party tricks.... sceptical!

Honestly I dont really care bout this,I only have a problem with james camerön trying to go out his way to prove jesus never resurected. Why would he do this its like a 16yr old kid tellin his little 7yr sister that santa clause or easter bunny doesnt. exist .Just let christians lead their own lives.
