Can America REALLY loose a war?

and by lose a war i mean be taken over? as in invaded and conquered? i mean mexico cant do ti and wont be able for a while and canada would just get mauled.

can the us really lose a war like that? i mean were so big no country could really attack from both seas and some how win...russia and china are the same way. how could we-or them-ever really lose?

We have allies, so I would assume even if we were ambushed they'd come to our aid, and technically we are the most advanced, but the other ones are secretly catching up every year.

No...really... If a country has more man power than we do, we could lose.
It also depends on the weapons our opponents have.
If we declared war on India, we could be screwed. They have nuclear capabilities and for every 1 of us, there are about 3-4 of them.

The only way I could imagine America suffering a total defeat is if, say, China and the EU teamed up. But God knows that's never going to happen.

And hell, given how much money we pump into China's economy, I doubt they'd ever want to attack us anyway.

No...really... If a country has more man power than we do, we could lose.
It also depends on the weapons our opponents have.
If we declared war on India, we could be screwed. They have nuclear capabilities and for every 1 of us, there are about 3-4 of them.

The thing you have to take into account is allies. If we went to war with India, it wouldn't just be India vs. the US. It'd be India and these 6 other countries vs. America and these 10 other countries. That changes things.

First of all, China does not have an army of 250 million. It's closer to 2 million. Second, China lacks a capable navy and air force required to invade the United States.
