Canada getting metered Internet

You got to remember that Canada is a huge country. It aint cheap.

But yeah, we do have that.

yeah, still seems weird (and ridiculous) that in america i can call anywhere and only be charged the minutes included in my plan without any extra charges. yet in canada, you couldnt call the next town over without additional charges.

Meh. It pays for our Health Care :o

So additional money that is paid directly towards a private company somehow pays for our National Health Care system that is funded by the government which is paid by our taxes.

Sigh, you make other Canadians look bad.

EDIT and yes it sucks that we get charged for long distance although my home plan cost only 1 cent per minute for anywhere in my province.

Getting my Canadian Permanent Residency in a few weeks. Holllaaa!!!

Will I get the complimentary hug within entry?

Nice, where abouts? If you say Winnipeg or Saskatchewan I am obligated to laugh at you

Yeah plus a cold beer in hand, and a jar of maple syrup.

Are you up for a BBQ in -25 weather?

(sees if he passes the Canadian test)

I lived in the Toronto area for a while (Mississauga, 2 years) so probably will go back there for as bit.

With my snuggie on while sipping my Timmy's Ice Cap

You better not complain at -10. This time of year, we Canadians consider that nice weather. Which is funny, the Americans FREAK OUT when it's that cold :lmao:

A better answer would be it is always perfect weather for a BBQ.

You get bonus points for having Tim Horton's but leave the snuggie at the border.

Going back on topic: I don't imagine it would have affected me much but I am glad I don't have to worry about caps. I signed up for that new Fibre-Op bundle Bell offers. I have not had any problem with my internet, phone, or cable reception since we changed over plus it is cheaper than what I had before and I get more options. ie call anywhere in my province for a penny a minute, more channels, etc
