So I tried to watch Bordertown. Couldn't make it through the second commercial break. Truly, truly awful television. And since it premiered to a 1.1, it'll be axed soon enough.

NBC Orders Comedy Pilots From Mike Schur, Tina Fey, Marlon Wayans, DC Comics

The first is an untitled comedy from 30 Rock collaborators Tracey Wigfield, Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and David Miner that is based on Wigfield's life. The single-camera comedy centers on an already inseparable mother-daughter relationship that becomes more complicated when mom accepts an internship at her daughter’s workplace. The comedy is written by Wigfield (The Mindy Project) and is based on her life.

Second is multicam comedy Marlon, which like the Wigfield entry, is inspired by the life of its producer. Wayans will star in the comedy that centers on an inappropriate but loving father committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife.

Third is the untitled Matt Hubbard project, that again, is based on the life of its producer. The single-camera comedy centers on a guy learning to manage the expectations and strong cultural traditions of his in-laws after he moves his family to his wife's hometown. Also from Universal Television and 3 Arts, Hubbard will pen the script and exec produce alongside Parks and Recreation and Master of None EP Mike Schur, who will serve as showrunner. Miner will exec produce.

Fourth is Powerless, the first comedy from DC Entertainment. The single-camera entry is set in the DC Comics universe that's full of superheroes, villains and people just like us. It's described as an office comedy about the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power. Like all DC fare, it hails from Warner Bros. Television and will be written by Ben Queen (A to Z), with Michael Patrick Jann set to exec produce and direct the pilot.

Titans series is dead

Rizzoli and Isles has been canceled after season seven which will air later this year. At least they have knowledge ahead of time to end the series properly.

Makes me wonder how long Major Crimes will keep going. It's a good show but it's had a long run as well.

NCIS won't be the same without DiNozzo.

It wasn't the same after Kate or Ziva either, or Jenny... but it still goes on and I think they can go on without DiNozzo. Don't know who will be replacing him yet.

lets not stretch here, Kate was domed after season two? so the show really didn't find its legs until a season or two after that

Ziva was great. But I'm really liking Bishop.

The show just doesn't do a bad job at casting.

I just wish they hadn't killed Mike. He was a great badass.

Wonder if The CW is gonna feel obligated to give Crazy Ex-Girlfriend a renewal now, with that Golden Globe win for the lead actress. Guess they might wait and see whether it has any impact on viewership before they decide.

They said today that they are committed to the show and hope to renew it for a 2nd season.

Yeah, but "We're hopeful for a renewal" in January could easily be "Those numbers just never got to where we wanted them to be" in May. Even DVR-wise, the show barely gets any lift.

JtV is far from a ratings winner for TheCW and it got renewed so I think they will keep C E-G around due to the win. If anything, they should just give it (and probably JtV) 13 episode seasons.

Time-Travel Comedy Produced By Phil Lord & Chris Miller Gets Fox Pilot Order

It revolves around three friends who find a way to travel through time for truth, justice, and riches, which complicates their lives in 2016. They visit some of the greatest moments of the past as they try to resolve their personal problems, while history and pop culture comically collide.

Melissa Leo's I'm Dying Up Here Ordered to Series at Showtime

Based on the non-fiction book of the same name by William Knoedelseder, the hour-long Dying examines the “inspired and damaged psyches” of stand-up comedians in Los Angeles in the 1970s.

That's fine. It was always designed as a self-contained mini-series. The only way it wasn't going to get canceled is if it had been mindblowing, which the show hasn't done since season 1.

I got into it. Looking forward to seeing how it ends.

Female Baseball Drama 'Pitch' Scores Fox Pilot Pickup, Casts Lead

The baseball drama hails from prolific producer Dan Fogelman (Grandfathered) and centers on a young female pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues. Kylie Bunbury (Under the Dome, Tut) has been cast to star.

So why not do Law & Order: Chicago?
