This is definitely NOT the TFA Helmet.
They thought I was crazy. BUT I KNEW IT! t:
If having the hots for that old Peggy is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
Looks like Black Widow is on the visit with Cap
I just updated the article on CBM saying that the photos with Evans and ScarJo were taken at a different location, although it isn't far from the "nursing home." So I don't think Widow will be involved with this scene, but it's still possible.
Also, I found this set video a couple days ago. First video with Cap actually fighting Winter Soldier. Plus a scene with Widow helping bystanders.
There's also this pic, which could be a spoiler, but not really...
The feelz are going to be strong with this movie
Cap being the gentleman and pure hearted guy he is may still want Peggy despite her knocking on in years, Marvel blowing ageism out of the water!
Oh, thank you for the clarification, marvel_freshman! That makes more sense! Also, that video is BALLER, thanks for bringing it here!
Oh hey look Doomsday. Hayley Atwell is back. What'dya know?
YEAH! Peggy being back is amazing!
I really hope that Black Widow is not visiting there as Cap's new lover. Otherwise that would not work for me.
Go forbid it doesn't work for you, than damn this movie. How dare they not make it work for you.
Dude, going to see your ex with your new girlfriend, man I that doesn't work. Cap needs to get closure with Peggy before he can move on. Would be so awkward.
Such is life though sometimes awkward is gonna happen.
I think that would be inappropriate on Cap's part, and I think Cap is smart enough to realize that.
How about we wait to see the movie before judging off set pics. Ya know see how it plays out on film, crazy idea I know.
Great stuff, they seem to be really going for it in the fight scene.
It could be like the scene with JGL and Tony Danza in Don Jon.
I'm surprised we still haven't seen Agent 13 now that Steve has gone to visit Peggy.
How about visiting Old Peg in the nursing home? I think Cap would be smart enough to realize how ****ing inappropriate that is, too.
Joss realized how inappropriate it is, and he alludes to it in that deleted scene from Avengers. Cap takes a look at Peggy's SHIELD file, sees that she's still alive, sees a phone number there, realizes it would be wrong to try to contact her, and realizes he has to move on with his life, and that there's no question that Peggy moved on with hers. He quietly closes the file, and goes on.
And that's where it should end, period. This "last dance with Old Peggy" **** is maudlin as hell. And it portrays Steve Rogers as a self-absorbed S.O.B., which he most certainly is not. What does he hope to gain from this? "Closure?" Closure for what? Seeing an old lady who went on and lived a full life without him being part of it at all? What's Peggy supposed to get out of it? The opportunity to feel ****ty because she and Howard Stark clearly didn't try hard enough to find Cap's body, since he was, you know, right there in the frickin' iceberg the whole time, still very much alive? I'm sure THAT will make her feel all tingly inside.
God. I hope to hell they leave this **** on the cutting room floor. You guys think this is some kind of heartwarming romantic scene, but it's not. It's maudlin melodrama that makes Steve Rogers look like a selfish ass. Even more so because it's taken him, what, 2 years to finally balls up to do the *wrong* thing and screw up this poor old woman's last days by re-lighting a spark that died 70 years ago?
Stupid. Just stupid.
For ****s sake, dude, he promised her a dance and if you can't count on Steve ****ing Rogers to follow up on his word then who can you count on?
It'll be like a 2 minute lull between gunfights and punch scenes for Christsakes. I didn't realize so many manchildren frequented this forum. Unreal.
Joss got rid of it because it would have made the movie too CA-centric and felt that it bogged the pacing down. He also felt it would be better left for a CA's solo movie to touch on it than in TA. As with any deleted scene, it's not really considered canon in the MCU unless stated by Feige and/or Whedon that it is. That scene could very well not have happened in the MCU and Steve still hasn't gone looking for her.
As for him meeting Peggy, I really don't know why it's getting you so worked up.
Seriously. Some must be really emotionally locked to not at least care for that relationship and see some sort of finality to it, even if it may be a tad sappy.
