The romance subplot is one of the things that people loved about the first movie. It's natural they want to see it followed up on.

Actually, there's a part of me that would like to see Peggy older, but still in possession of all her faculties, and she provides a sort of touchstone to Cap's past, and a giver of advice as he navigates the modern era and SHIELD, for the next couple of movies, but possibly dying in Captain America 3. It keeps Haley around as a supporting player for the series.

But I can't deny the poignancy of Crimson King's scenario. Gahhhhhh... all the tears!

    Hi!!
Sorry, just stepping in here, I needed a cozy place to stay after watching Man of Steel assaulting my senses and the memory I had of the character.

Ahhh, I'm in Marvel soil, much better now! :)

What is this, frickin' Harold and Maude?

God. I see Cap and 100-Year Old Peggy slow-dancing or locking lips, imma puke all over whoever's sitting in the seats immediately surrounding me. Fair warning. I strongly doubt I'll be the only one. :barf:

lol; they could just do it like they did with Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor in the Justice League Cartoon "A Savage Time", where Wonder Woman pays a visit to an elderly Steve at an retirement facility.

There was a lot of speculation early on that EVC might be playing Sin, but it seems to have died down.

However, I have always maintained that there is something mighty squirrelly with the fact that Agent 13 has NEVER been referred to as Sharon Carter in a single official press release from either Marvel or Disney. Every single time we have seen EVC's character referred to as SC it has been fan speculation.

I, for one, would love to see a female villain in a Marvel film. Might mess with Cap's head, which is always a good thing. The more angst the better, I say.

    My thoughts exactly.
I "survived" MoS just fine, and was perfectly happy about it. There's things Zack could've done better, like cracking a smile every once in awhile instead of being all srs bsns all the time; but MoS was a very good movie.

That's pretty damn ageist, man. Jesus.

Does it offend you that Pierce is being played by an 80 year old man, too?

I was surprised by how much I hated it. I really, really want to like any superhero movie. I pay a lot of money to go see them in the theater, after all. But MOS was awful, just awful. Joyless, soulless, dull and ugly. Awful.
