Here you can discuss who you want as the villain's in Captain America 3, and other stuff regarding the villain's.

I hope we get Baron Zemo.

Zemo would be really cool and Crossbones should be a given. Would anyone be up for Zola to return but somewhat similar to his look in the comics?

I want the Red Skull to make a reappearance, and I feel like the 3rd movie would be a good a time as any. Even if Hugo Weaving doesn't want to come back, someone should take his place. The Red Skull is one of the greatest comic book villains and he deserves to return sooner rather than later.

I agree, Flint. I'm not anti-Zemo, I would love to see him in the MCU but I definitely want Red Skull to return while Chris Evans is still Cap.

Zemo (the puppetmaster).

Sin (the heir apparent/resident psychopath).

Crossbones (the muscle).

Oh and please give Zemo an updated costume. The full0body purple sock just wouldn't look good in live-action.

Can Zemo and Red Skull both be done justice in the same movie? I think so.

Those are the two villains I want to see in this. We need more Red Skull...His role in TFA wasn't satisfying. They need another appearance from him to solidify Red Skull as Cap's true nemesis

Red Skull was okay in TFA, but nothing too special. I don't think there is much reason to think the writers have much more to offer with him.

Generally as a character I think he makes a pretty poor archnemesis. Cap is an idealist, and there's little challenge for him to find in a character who is a monstrous Nazi. A monstrous Nazi works really well for an old fashioned WWI adventure film, but with the more ambiguous direction the franchise is going on, I say let his fate be one of those mysteries that never gets an answer.

I don't know a lot about Zemo, but I think his story bears much similarity to the main conflict in Iron Man 2, so...

Zola returning would be overkill, I think.

As unhelpful as it sounds, my choice is 'whoever can offer Steve an interesting challenge'.

A couple of years ago, I think precisely zero people would say 'Alexander Pierce'. Yet, he's Marvel's best villain so far IMHO. I wouldn't be opposed to the writers making up their own villain and slapping on the name of an existing minor character like, I don't know, Anna Kapplebaum.

But my own preference would be Madam Hydra, assuming Marvel shares the rights with Fox.

Only if the villain is Zemo II, like in the comics. If they follow the line of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and put Zemo I, might get better.

Zemo has my vote too. It would be great to see him and Cap battle each other on the big screen. I could see Zemo trying to outdo the various Hydra factions out there in order to build up his own power base before taking on Cap. He could be trying to undermine the numerous Hydra groups and steal their resources, including stealing materials from Von Strucker's "Age of Miracles" project, in order to enact his own plan.

I'm hoping Red Skull returns in Cap 3, myself.

Red Skull done by the Russo Bros. I wanna see that. Zemo, too. And a full-fledged Crossbones for the muscle.

I would love to see Zemo. My favorite Cap villain. And if we are really lucky, it could lead into the Thunderbolts.

Alexander Lukin. Make him a wealthy industrialist and secret political financier.

I don't think we'll see Lukin. I think Alexander Pierce was a sideways adaptation of Alexander Lukin from the comics. While the facts and backstory didn't exactly line up between comic and MCU, I think some of the philosophy and characterization did to some extent.

While I agree that Skull's storyline needs some resolution, who is to say he won't pop up in Avengers 3? He teleported somewhere/sometime...he could pop up anywhere in the MCU. One of the Nine Relms, Knowhere, ancient Earth times (maybe running into the original Black Knight), the future (where Major Victory and GotG 3000 pop up) or even in modern Hydra. He could even be an ideal villain for AoS. Or against the "gifted" ones now running around (a take on the Uncanny Avengers)... or even the Inhumans.

Skull hates everyone. He wants to dominate the world that he lives in. That's what makes him great.

That being said, I want the Cap 3 to follow up on TWS, so Zemo seems like the logical choice.

The MCU isn't going to end anytime soon, there will be follow up to Skull eventually. (like I hope General Ross gets one day).

Civil War is a much better fit for an Avengers sequel than a Cap sequel. While I would make several changes from the comic version, the underlying concept pretty much requires that the two most important and popular heroes (Cap and Iron Man) lead the opposing sides.
