Captain America: Brave New World - News & Speculation Thread

The trailer was shown before Alien: Romulus when I saw it this past weekend and I noticed that, for obvious reasons, the part where Ross gets shot at was edited out. Interestingly it's still there on YouTube and I definitely remember it being in there when I saw it in front of Deadpool & Wolverine.
Crazy how they still do different cuts for cinemas/online when it comes to trailers.

There are some rumors going around that this movie will introduce Logan Kim as Amadeus Cho

Saw a reddit thread purporting to have seen a test screening of the film (didn't say if it was pre-reshoots or post, but I'm assuming post)
Some highlights, but take them with a Gigantic grain of salt:

-Serpent Society has about 5-7 minutes of screen time and sadly underutilizes Giancarlo
-Leader is described as "Slightly green with a brain shaped head". He is the villain of the film full stop.
-Sabra only gets a few minutes, and her sub-plot feels pretty useless.
-Ross Hulks out after Leader activates him the same way he does Isaiah Bradley
-Only 1 Red Hulk/FalconCap fight scene, which lasts about 5 minutes
-Bucky Cameo where he mentions having to get to a fundraiser setting up Thunderbolts
-Amadeus Cho has a small role, with a tease of him getting Hulk blood at the end

(The rumors above did not indicate he was a child. They also said the actor for Cho was terrible, so make of that what you will.)

There was the possibility that that may be for Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man though
Hopefully they don't introduce Cho as a small child

If Cho is getting introduced I really don't want them to make him a Hulk immediately. We have too many of those already. Give me an "Amadeus & Herc" project based on The Incredible Hercules with inspiration from the Waver Velvet/Iskandar dynamic from Fate/Zero

Is there anything from this movie that has anybody hopeful this won't be DOA by the time it comes out?

Sabre, not a mutant anymore... I was looking forward to see her since I remember her from the comics.

Nope.

Marvel is basically DC now going forward. Hit and miss, ups and downs, burning bridges, building new ones, ect.

I guess this would be MCU's 3rd rotten movie in Rotten Tomatoes. Oh well they didn't wait until phasix for that 3rd rotten. I feel like Phase Five could be the worst phase in the MCU, if this truly suck. Thunderbolts* don't look good to me as well.

He is about to Red Hulk smash!

i wonder who is going to calm him down? Betty Ross?

Both trailers so far have been perfectly edited. They look really good. Hope the movie is up to par.

I haven't seen the new trailer yet, but them emphasizing on Red Hulk in promo materials is good. Though its weird how I'm more interested to see the Red Hulk than Sam Wilson. It just shows that Sam Wilson was never an interesting MCU character to begin with.

That was a pretty cool trailer. CGI still doesn’t look very good though. Hopefully they’ve managed to put together a good enough movie that it becomes somewhat ignorable at least.

I still believe its a missed opprtunity that marvel didn't have william hurt fully transform before he passed. Like, I think hey ford maybe okay who knows he may be great-----BUT Hurt was a great ross and he should have had his red hulk moment but marvel wait soo long and didn't give him the chance. I just feel this was a missed chance. Hopefully Ford does well. Thought---I wasn't impressed with the visuals of the ford hulk from the trailer or lack there of.

I saw the new trailer, and the only interesting part is Red Hulk. I also felt like they've shown too many clips that it went longer that it should.

This and Thunderbolts look expensive but they aren't giving me must-see in their opening weekend.

It really seems that they really stepped things up with the action for Sam Cap. His suit and wings seem like they are made out of vibranium (which makes up for the lack of super soldier serum), and throwing the shield into the missiles while flying is only a move that Sam Wilson Captain America could pull off. That is a great way to separate him from Steve or even Bucky if he had gotten the shield, because they don't have the wings.
