Captain America: Brave New World - News & Speculation Thread

Just saw it and I don't think this movie was needed. If they felt they had to make it then do a series or special D+ thing. The only thing I guess was Adamantium the flying was cool, but besides that the movie felt pointless and like they had to fill a Disney Marvel quota by releasing something.

Leader looked terrible.
I may have doozed when the security lady was introduced but a 4'10 90lb head of security better be enhanced.
The sidekick shouldn't be on the Avengers
movie took it self way too serious, Cap 2 was serious but has many great funny moments.

She was a Red Room assassin

For those interested, the art book for, BNW is now available for purchase.
I preordered my copy today.
And unlike other MCU art books,
This one will have a, SLIPCASE!

I sorta remember the Ross in Hulk 2003. The name is just not recognizable to me.

Sam Elliot was top tier casting as Ross in 2003. Would have loved to see that cast return for a sequel. I’ll always have a soft spot for Ang Lee’s movie

Hulk 2003 is one of the worst pre-MCU Marvel movies (1998-2007) for me.

It's still in my top 15 superhero flicks of all time. Elliott and Nick Nolte are perfection in it.

i hated the comic book-ish transistions of that movie. It feels so jarring for a movie that didn't feel very comic-booky. The vfx for Hulk aged pretty badly. Also, I couldn't believe it was from the same person who directed Brokeback Mountain (2 years after that movie). I love Broke back Mountain.

So when The Incredible Hulk came out, I really liked that movie, the tone was like the complete opposite from Hulk 2003.

The CGI's certainly aged a lot better than most of the MCU recent, particularly Incredible Hulk and BNW.

I like big swings where the filmmakers aren't afraid to try new things, which is basically impossible from risk averse Disney.

The CGI in the original Hulk film was very strong, and it still holds up quite well. They could have toned down the neon green colour though.

The performances absolutely carry that movie. Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliot and Nick Nolte were amazing. The score was strong as well. I thought it was significantly better than the Marvel Studios one.
