ErikDavis ‎@ErikDavis Without hesitation, I say CIVIL WAR is Marvel's best movie yet. And that airport sequence is tremendous. Blown away.

Damn, this film may endear me to Tony Stark (whose charms have worn thin on me) all over again.
Josh Horowitz Verified account ‏@joshuahorowitz 15m15 minutes ago Holy crap, CIVIL WAR is really great. Top tier Marvel for sure. Exceeded my expectations. Downey's best performance since original Iron Man

Captain America Civil War is really an Avengers movie. And while waaaaay too long it's better than Age of Ultron. #CinemaCon

"Better than Age of Ultron" translates to "its really its fn awesome" to me.

"Wayyyy too long" I have no idea what that means

"waaaay too long"?

sounds like someone's got no attention span
"you want me to sit in one place for over two hours?? pssssh"

It probably means he thinks it drags. Odd considering a lot of talk about the pacing has been positive.

Did he see it at Cinemacon or the Premier? In any event, wouldn't surprise me if he later says "Better on a second viewing" like others have. Anyway, it's the first time I've heard anyone complain of it being "way too long" and the others are so over the moon, I don't think the running time will be that bothersome on the whole.

Just saw Marvel's Civil War. Best one yet! #cinemacon

The command the Russos have over tone in CIVIL WAR is masterful. One minute you're laughing so hard you miss lines; the next you're in tears

CIVIL WAR will go down as the MCU's EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Other great films & scenes will likely follow, but they'll be compared to CW imo

He probably drank his jumbo soda before the movie even started and, well, you know how it is.

Lol. This is exactly why I'm not getting a drink when I see this for the first time. Seeing it in Imax btw. Very excited!

Goose. Bumps. Finally, a Superhero trilogy that nails the landing???

So true, can I let myself believe it? Oftentimes it's the middle movie of a trilogy that is regarded as the best (Empire, TDK, WS) but then the 3rd part is usually seen as somewhat of a come-down. In one of the reviews CW was compared to ESB.

So excited. Russo Bros and Cap may have broken the mold!

I personally like ROTJ more than ESB, but I do think CW is going to nail it.

Getting harder and harder to contain my excitement.

Getting very hard.

When the quips are in shorter supply we'll be reminded how good an actor RDJ is, in case we'd forgotten.

RDJ is a great actor with or without the quips

That is true even though I love his quips I thought is panic attack stuff in iron man 3 was acted really while and also in this movie in the trailer we he like gets shoot in the face the look on his face is just great.

Oh, I've never doubted RDJ is a great actor. Been a fan for years. I was just growing weary of Tony, that's all. Nice to hear this movie might rectify that.

Re-watched 'AoU' last night even though I'm not a huge fan of that movie... Gotta hand it to RDJ, even when he's 'coasting' on his charm he's often the best thing about a scene. An otherwise dull scene of Tony visiting the WWW hub in Oslo had me cracking up when he starts singing in a hillbilly cadence: 'Hoo, I'mDecipherin'NuclearCodesAndYouDon'tWantMeToooooo'.....

Looking forward to seeing him bring back Tony's dark side... One of the things that made Iron Man 1 so great was the fact that he really WAS clearly suffering from PTSD and built Iron Man partially to cope with that, he didn't just turn into a 'good guy' overnight. The later movies tend to lean too hard on his 'charming playboy' aspect and ignore his anger.

Who wants to bet that Grace Randolph will hate Civil War?

This is exactly the sort of hype that was building for the first Avengers film and look how that turned out. I can't believe I have to wait three weeks. That seems like an eternity.

I am SO looking forward to a more reigned in RDJ/Tony Stark. I'll be honest, his quipy ad-libs have kind of out-stayed their welcome for me personally. Ironman 3 was RDJ in overdrive and it annoyed the Heck out of me. I felt like I was watching RDJ and not the smooth, debonair, fancy suit Tony Stark from Iron Man 1. I'm looking forward to finally a darker Tony.
