I like Ant-Man, but it doesn't hold a candle to Winter Soldier.

Winter Soldier easily. It is still, to me, Marvel Studios' finest project on a storytelling level. I've yet to see anything after it within the MCU come close to it and I doubt anything ever will.

I thought Ant-Man was a pretty mediocre film saved by an exciting third act. The first 2/3 thirds of the film just feel like characters explaining how things work. It got exhausting and repetitive. One of the weaker MCU films for me.

Winter Soldier takes this easily.

Winter Soldier's one of my all-time favorites. Ant-Man exceeded expectations and was a fun movie, but compared head-to-head, it's no contest.

Winter Soldier by a considerable margin. Ant-Man is good, but it and Doctor Strange are probably the two most formulaic entries in the franchise.

Like, if I were trying to refute the frequent criticism of Marvel's movies being generic cookie cutter films made on an assembly line, I absolutely would not use Ant-Man as counterpoint.

Winter Soldier easily. Unlike others here, I don't think it is the best MCU film, but it is still near the top and definitely better than Ant-Man. The First Avenger vs. Ant-Man would be a more suitable poll.

I don't understand this thread. TWS is considered one of the best CBM in the MCU if not the genre. If you want to do a poll against CW (Done last year), The Avengers, Iron Man, GOTG (which was kinda already done in 2014), I understand. But against Ant-Man, unless this thread is meant to be ironic?

I even did a thread about the best MCU movie out of the 5 I just listed and left an option for "Other" and only like 4 posters voted other.

There was a worst of poll and it was Thor: Dark World by a mile. Distant seconds were IM2, TIH and IM3.

The most interesting would be a poll of the 2nd tier.

Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, AOU, GOTG2, TFA and Thor.

Ant-Man was very mediocre & Winter Soldier was actually a good offering. WS quite comfortably the better movie IMO.

Ant-Man would be better compared with the MCU's weaker/worse movies. Whereas Winter Soldier would be better compared with some of the stronger/better movies in the series.

I am not sure if this thread is serious. Ant-Man became after Wright left a standard boilerplate MCU movie: inoffensive, mildly enjoyable, and vaguely mediocre in its blandness.

Never saw it since that one time in theaters and never will. The Winter Soldier I have beef with, but Marvel at least tiptoed outside their comfort zone and made a memorably exciting movie, even if I disagree with the claims of it being a great one.

Ant Man is easily one of the top Marvel films and one of my favorites but Winter Soldier is just too good. My opinion might change in the future because I've seen Ant Man more times than Winter Soldier.

My goodness Ant Man had no chance. This poll is probably more unfair to Ant Man than the TDK vs Wonder Woman poll was to WW. TWS by a long mile.
