After reading this series (shame its been cut) I was wondering if anyone would like to see some British characters of the big screen?!

Captain Britain would be a nice cameo in an Avengers film to maybe go off into his own film.

I liked this series for been more magical/fantasy based and think it would make a good film, kids would like it since they all love magic stuff like Harry Potter and Narnia, but aim it more toward late teen/adults.

I really liked guys like Black Knight and Union Jack.

Seeing as it was written by one of the guys from Dr Who it could make a decent tv show.

Yes! But only if he wears this costume:

I think it's insanely cool costume. I would love to see him on screen.

Captain Britain- Daniel Craig
Pete Wisdom- David Tennant
Black Knight- Elliot Cowan
Spitfire- Sarah Alexander
Faiza Hussein- Parminder Nagra

Would love to see this get the movie treatment.

But it'll never happen for the same reason the comic got dropped. Americans don't give a toss about Captain Britain. Those who don't actually know him would just assume he is a rip off of Captain America.

So what if American's don't give a toss for him, there needs to be a variation in characters from all over the world.

Not just people in New York and LA!?

i'd like to see union jack on the big screen with baron blood as the villian..i think that sean bean would still make a decent UJ.
blade wasnt overly popular yet he was very successful...i think UJ would work too .
the vampire edge just moves it far enough away from a blatant comic book movie..

i hope he cameos in captain america anyway..but itll be falsworth and not chapman in the suit.

it would be nice to mention them, like have a cameo in one of the Avenger flicks, maybe how them saving London from an attack when the rest of the world is under threat, then once Avengers is done show the British guys.

Were maybe getting a Black Panther film so why not some Brits??!

It would be great if Marvel and the BBC teamed up and made a few 2 hour long tv movies but alas it will never happen.

Captain Britain- Rupert Penry Jones (spooks/39 steps/four feathers)
Pete Wisdom- Nick Moran (lock, stock and two smoking barrels)
Black Knight- Ryan Kwanten (Home & Away/True blood)
Spitfire- Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day/fracture)
Faiza Hussein- Shelley Conn

I think the orginal Union Jack might make an apperance in the Captain America movie

I agree. I don't think EVERY Marvel hero should be on the big screen but they need a tv show, like DC has with Smallville and tried to have with Aquaman. I think CB and MI13 would be perfect for it on the right network.

I think it would work on tv, Marvel need to get into the live action tv stuff sometime

In an ideal world, we'd get to see Daniel Craig as Cap and Jason Statham as UJ.

It'll never happen of course, but it would be cool as hell.

It sure would. Rupert Penry Jones would do just as well though.

He would indeed - I just happen to be a big fan of Daniel Craig though.

jason statham should stay the hell away from UJ..i cannot do with him...such a crap actor..crank is the worst film ive ever seen.
sean bvean should be UJ...he is from up north not another bloody londoner.
braddock is a southerner but uj is from up our end!

Believe me, as a fellow Northerner I totally know what you're saying but I could live with the North/South divide thing being forgotten if it meant getting an established name who can do action on the movie to give the film a bit of marquee value. I honestly think he's decent as an actor anyways and Crank was good to watch just for the virtue of having the balls to go places where other films wouldnt.

Sean Bean, while almost being perfect for UJ, is now too old in my humble opinion and, accent aside, Statham's still got that working class thing going for him which is required for Chapman and he'd be a great foil to Craig's Braddock (with Craig firmly in Lord Azrael mode). Statham + Craig would undoubtedly whip up some interest.

But it's a bit of a moot point as it'll never happen anyways.

i hear you..its just if youre english in a movie...you're always from down bleedin south..and UJ (joey chapman) is from manchester so..give us a northerner to play him..im sure theres a good actor out there who can play him.
statham is wooden and a terrible actor..plus i think craig is not big enough to be cap B..braddock is a big guy!
bean is a bit old now i suppose..shame cos he is one actor i always thought never got given his chance...i always loved hearing his accent on scree...it has a calming effect on me around all the americans! :D

i also agree with the big names thing...but i'd rather a great film with an unknown than throw in a big name just to sell it.

Tom Hardy is probably the best young British actor around. ****, he is probably one of the best young actors around full stop.

He could do a Manc accent and I think he'd be great for UJ.

hell if they made a new Blade movie have him travel to the UK and then we could just have both of them hunting Barron Blood. Give Union Jack a kick start from a franchise that has already proven to be a money maker. Then give him his own series after that.

When Blade came out no-one really knew who he was, yet that did well enough for 2 awful sequels, the 1st one in my mind is rather good.

As was Iron-Man, yet look at the film and character now!?

Marvel have a wide range of characters from all over the world, yet all we've seen so far are Americans.

It would make good sense to go global.

Let the BBC or someone make the film, jointly with an American station, show it over in the UK first to test the water, then go over Stateside.

I think it makes sense to have some European films around, then maybe tie them all in sometime.

Blade 2 was good. And Blade had vampires. A vampire film is a easy sell.

yea but he was an r-rated vamp, not a kid friendly one that we see now
