In 1982,A comic known as Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew appeared in newsstands across the world until 1983.

Do you think a movie can be made about them?
If so,please try to cast each animal hero.

Yep, CG Animated - like a cross between The Incredibles (superheroes) & Kung Fu Panda (all animals)

Voice Cast :

Captain Carrot (Rodney Rabbit) : Owen Willson

Pig-Iron (Peter Porkchop): Michael Clarke Duncan

Alley-Kat-Abra (Felina Furr): Sofia Vergara

Rubberduck (Byrd Rentals): Burt Reynolds

Yankee Poodle (Rova Barkitt): Jane Krakowski

Fastback (Timmy Joe Terrapin): Jack McBrayer

Little Cheese( Chester Cheese): Ricky Gervais - doing that squeaky voice he does when he gets excited

Shouldn't this be on the DC Comics Films forum?

And John Hurt
as Brother Hood: shadowy leader of A.C.R.O.S.T.I.C.

I LOVE this idea. Somebody needs to email this thread to Pixar ASAP. This will make SUCH an awesome movie.

Or to Geoff Johns - DC's CCO, apparently a big fan.

I believe Captain Carrot & his Amazing Zoo Crew are owned by DC/WB & not Marvel.

I don't think Warner Animation has produced an animated feature film in a while, do they even have a CG animated dept.?
So whoever they could get to produce it, obviously not Disney/Pixar. Maybe Dreamworks? Universal? Sony?

Can we move this to the DC Comics Films forum?

Yes it should be DC/WB animation if that even exists?
Who did Space Jam?

Lol, I clicked here thinking this was about the Ankh-Morpork City Watch of the Discworld.

Why? The title of the thread is pretty straight forward.
There's a "Captain Carrot" in that other franchise as well, that's why.

Yeah apperantlly that franchise has a character called Captain Carrot too. All the more reason this thread should have been moved to the DC Comics Films forum.

Oh right, the human raised by dwarves. I had forgotten about him. But I don't recall him ever being a part of a team called The Amazing Zoo Crew. But I guess if you only read the first two words in a threads title the confusion sorta makes sense.

Okay, maybe not Pixar. But someone who does the same style of animation. Lucas Films maybe? Or whoever did Polar Express and Monster House? The animation should look like Shrek and Toy Story. As for whoever does the animation? I don't care, as long as they do a good job.

Animation style should be a cross between...
Kungfu Panda

and...

The Incredibles

Anyone reading Morrison's Multiversity?

Captain Carrot is back, and he kind of steels the show in the first issue.

Hey, I had that comic back in '82! Would definitely make for a fun flick. Count me in opening weekend.

They also had a brief revival in the 2008 countdown to Final Crisis - Captain Carrot and the Final Ark mini series.

Which left their fate somewhat ambiguous.

Note the Pig, (the Eagle was a new character), the Poodle, Cat, Duck, Turtle. And the Rabbit being carried of by Zatanna.:cwink:

And then not the greatest of occasions but still funny the Earth C Zoo Crew showed up in the RobotChicken DC special- http://www.adultswim.com/videos/robot-chicken/funeral-in-earth-c

And he is now appearing as a lead in Morrison's Multivercity, hopefully the whole team shows up next.

This would be a very good opportunity for DC/WB to target the very young demographic. Captain Carrot and His AZC could have the potential to be as successful as anything from Pixar.

Yep, it's mentioned several times in the thread, not sure how it works but I'm not going to bother a mod about it, the OP might want to? Or if anyone of them happens to stumble into this thread (which I doubt) maybe they will move it.:funny:

I think WB was considering buying Dream Works animation, they need to go ahead and then make this movie !
