Sisko as the evil Dr Noah came up with a plan to sink the other continents of the world underwater through earthquakes and kill billions...while HIS island remained on the surface.

The only difference is while Luthor did this to gain global economic supremacy, Sisko had an agenda similar to Batman Begins (to destroy a corrupt civilization and repopulate towards a brave new world).

Amusing still, I wonder if Singer saw this.

I always thought Singer had the idea for Superman Returns while watching the soap opera General Hospital immediately following a Century 21 commercial, while a homeless man walked by his window and screamed 'wrooooong'.

The problem is, they are usually all the same. Whether it's gassing a city, blowing it up, or sinking it while making your own continent. There is no originality. From Superman Returns, X-Men part 1, to Batman Begins. To me, the plans of the villians are often the weakest point.

What I loved about Spider-Man 1 and 2 is neither villian wanted to destroy the city. GG just caused havok but had no master plan. Ock just wanted to make his fusion reactor, the city was just collateral damage.
