My driver side and passenger side windows aren't working! I can't control them.

The driver side window can't really stay up. I have splints stuck between the window and the inside of the door to keep the window from sliding down. The passenger side window is like, stuck. It won't really budge. It's stuck in place about 5 inches from the top of the door and it won't go up or down.

So, what could be the problem and how much would I be looking at in order to get this fixed?

P.S. The only reason why I'm asking on here now is because my favorite auto shop is closed on Sundays.. :(

are they power windows, which is obvious if they arent working, as they used to make windows with cranks.

Wow your talking like its something from the stone age, wasnt that long ago they all had crank handels

yes but do they anymore? its just like the VCR, its no longer even manufactured.

All you can do is be afraid, be very afraid.

I had window that wouldn't go up on my car once...it was the switch (powered windows) My mechanic charged me $10 to fix it.

Yeah, the car ain't THAT old...lol. I barely remember those cranks...My mother had a New Yorker with those cranks... :p

Strangely, the passenger window is working for me again, but the driver-size window still isn't working.

My 2006 Jeep has hand cranks and so did my 1996 Chevy S-10, you young punks with your push a button, lazy asses. :cmad: :o

I'm going to get my brother-in-law to check around the junkyards to find a motor for my window. I think it's the motor and not the switch..
