He's gone missing, I am assuming that he is dead. But no one heard that Cillian Murphy was returning and thank go that he is.

Carmine wasn't just mentioned in BB. He was in BB. He's the character Batman pulls out of the sunroof of the limo and says "I'm Batman". He's part of the entire plot of BB.

I think he means there's been a lot of mention of Falcone in the Gotham Times articles. Seeing as how they bridge the gap between BB and TDK, he's bound to be prominently mentioned there.

Will he be back in TDK? It doesn't seem likely. Sal Maroni has filled his shoes in the Gotham underworld.

Yeah Maroni is the new head of the Falcone family, since Carmine is locked away in Arkham.

Carmine Falcone brings in shipments of drugs every week, nobody takes him down...why?

Falcone was kind of wasted. It seems that the mob will be a much larger threat in THE DARK KNIGHT than they were ever portrayed as in BATMAN BEGINS. I would have loved to see an actual Falcone/Maroni interaction in THE DARK KNIGHT, with a troubled Carmine Falcone relying on the "two-faced" Maroni to run his empire, and so forth.

Where was he mentioned? Was it the same movie that mentioned the guy who dressed up like a bat? I LUVED that movie. I can't decide who was the greater character, falafel guy or nice coat bum. But then I remember nice ride black guy, he was cool.

Don't see why Falcone couldn't be inoculated with the antidote. He could be a player again in The Dark Knight, although it's not likely. But- I'd love to see Two-Face kill him in some way.

Maybe they'll bring him back in the third film...but I doubt it since it seems like TDK kind of marks the end of the mob playing a major role in Gotham City.

Because he was too far gone. Remember when Batman said he had to get the antidote to Rachel before the damage became permanent?

I'd hope that if he must return in Part 3, he should be seen as a...trophy in Two-Face's base of operations.

I think it would be feasible to think that Gamble might have killed him. I'm sure if a street thug took out the man that was once Gotham's untouchable crime lord, his ego would swell quicker than Smiling Bob after a Bloody Viagra.
