So, the idea for this thread comes from the arguments that I have been getting into for the past month with my teacher over my senior BFA project. For over a year and 4000 frames, I have drawn my male character without nipples. No one seems to have noticed or even cared, all except my studio teacher. She has even gone as far as to say that I may not get a job in the field because my character lacks these details. Now I have seen many characters drawn with and without nipples. So for me it did not seem like a big deal to omit them.

What I was wondering is, does it annoy you when characters are missing nipples? Do you even notice the nipples? Simple put, are they a dealbreaker for you?

In all honesty, i notice the nipples if they are missing, but so few cartoons leave them off it's kinda weird when they do appear.

I'm a bit odd though, when i see peter griffin wandering around naked i often check for a penis, i know i wont see it, nor do i want to, but i still check.

It payed off yesterday when i was watching south park, Terrence and Phillip hid nothing.

Male nipples are evil. They're useless :cmad:

But yeah, you should have them in there
