Which Daniel Craig Bond movie is better?

To whoever asks why QoS isn't listed in the title thread: Really?:o

I love them both for different reasons. I did feel that some parts of Skyfall were maybe too grim and not as fun as Casino Royale. But I loved all the classic Bond moments in Skyfall that weren't in Casino Royale. So... even tie?

I like them both for different reasons too.

I love them both for many reasons. Skyfall felt more like a traditional Bond with the traditional elements in place but i dont consider it a mark against Casino for not having these elements. Both films did what they set out to do very well and for that i commend them both. Only time will tell which one i grow to love more, but I dont really think I will ever prefer one over the other. Both are great additions to the franchise.

I find Skyfall to be superior in every way except for the Bond girl. Berenice Marlohe was sexy as hell, but Vesper was just an all-around better character. I do love them both, and they are both in my top three Bond films.

I have only seen it once, but I think Skyfall's lull in in the middle, the time spent in Hong Kong and Macau, put it a step below CR. Still it is great and I think I will grow to love Skyfall in time (I already adore the final act).

Not sure about all this talk about "traditional" Bond elements though. Not sure why that really matters, especially when the traditional elements were used in a very different way.

Love, love, love them both but I have to put Casino Royale above Skyfall. Maybe more viewings of Skyfall will change that.

Though I do think Skyfall had the better villian by far.

I saw Skyfall on Monday and I think it's a huge improvement over QoS, which was a disappointing movie that is also the sequel of CR. However, I have to give the edge to CR between it and Skyfall. I think CR was just a perfect Bond movie, from Eva Green (probably in my top 3 Bond girls of all times), to the amazing intro, and the great finish. That movie had it all. Skyfall is terrific, no doubt about it, but there are some parts of it that I thought could've been better, although in terms of thematics Skyfall is probably a bit better written than CR.

If Skyfall had a better third act, it'd be the better of the two. Both were terrific Bond films, but Casino Royale takes the cake. I do need to see Skyfall again, though.

Skyfall, by far. Then Casino. Also, I don't even dislike QOS. I think Craig has had a fairly solid trilogy for Bond. :o

Nothing wrong with Quantum of Solace, just definitely not the best Daniel Craig Bond film.

Quantum is alright. It has the disadvantage of not really standing on its own (it being really a CR sequel) and not many of the scenes stand out to me as particularly memorable (the best in the film is the opera scene). But it certainly isn't boring... I don't mind watching it.

Yeah, I never minded it either. The problem with it is that it is Casino Royale 1.5. It isn't a bad film by any means. It just isn't too good. It also doesn't help that it followed an arguably Top 5 Bond film.

I actually think the best thing about Skyfall is the third act. Probably the best in the series, up there with OHMSS and CR.

QoS is easily a top ten Bond. It pretty much beats everything between OHMSS and CR.

My only real problem with QOS is the damn camera. It just wont be still.

Average shot length of 1.7 seconds! Its ridiculous that they ever thought that was a good creative decision.
That has to be skewed by the action scenes. Still think the opening car chase is pretty great though.

Ill say it. Skyfall's third act is one of my favorite third acts of any movie.

And im not a fan of Goldeneye at all.

GoldenEye is better than QoS.

That is the one exception I can see, though after watching it recently, I'd put QoS ahead of it comfortably. Still, yeah definitely the closest thing to a good movie in that era. The PTS is great, but it is the villains make it. Alec, Xenia, Ourumov are pretty awesome.

I wasnt all fussed on QOS at first, but it grew on me eventually.

Skyfall was fantastic. I loved it for them steering closer to what we all know and love from the Bond franchise.

But Casino Royal has to be my fav. Granted it has the least action, but the drama between Bond and Le Chirffe in all their scenes is what personally sold it for me.

Quantum of Solace being a sequel to Casino Royale is probably why I liked QoS so much. A continuing storyline was something that I became a huge fan of and I hope Quantum shows up again during Craig's run as Bond.

Ill say it. Skyfall's third act is one of my favorite third acts of any movie.

I'm not a fan of GoldenEye either myself. Was never a fan of any of Brosnan's films as Bond.

BUT...GoldenEye the video game was freaking awesome.

I am struggling to think of many I prefer. Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Goodfellas, Fellowship of the Ring, T2, Blade Runner, P&P and that is all I could think of right now.

It is terrific in every way.

I agree with that. I don't hate QoS. I just did that to because few people would call that the best and also to be a dick. :funny:
