i'm personally NOT a fan of typecasting, so I'd go with Sean Penn. he has an arrogant presence that suits Maroni, since in TDK he'd be taking over for Falcone.

I don't know much about Maroni so I guess I shouldn't make suggestions on his casting. Funny though now that you mention Liotta I kind of remember thinking about him as Maroni when I read The Long Halloween.

I've been campaigning for Liotta for over a year now. I actually think I originally came up with the idea.

He's the right choice for me because he's got the proper look, he's a fantastic actor who truly deserves a bit of a career boost, and he's familliar with the type of role but at the same time is not stereotyped the way Pacino or De Niro are.

Liotta IS Maroni.
