Vanessa Hudgens is smokin hot, so if she managed to land a supporting role in a Marvel film, I would not protest one bit.

As far as casting goes, if there was ever a live-action Spider-Man TV series, David Henrie would actually be really good for Peter Parker IMO.

I think a lot of people are looking too much at stuff like High School Musical and Disney Channel shows and thinking Disney could/would pull from only that talent pool if they were in charge of casting (which they are not). Look at some other actors who have been in somewhat recent Disney films... Kurt Russell (Miracle), Amy Adams (Enchanted), James Marsden (Enchanted), Denzel Washington (Remember the Titans), Johnny Depp (Pirates), Dwayne Johnson (Escape From Witch Mountain), Dennis Quaid (The Rookie), etc. That's not even touching the talent they have brought in for Pixar films (Peter O'Toole, Will Arnett, Ian Holm, Tom Hanks, Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton, R. Lee Ermey, Owen Wilson, Sigourney Weaver, etc.). I would be fine with almost ANY of those people I just listed being in a Marvel film in some role.

All that being said, I 100% stand by David Henrie in a Spider-Man TV show. That would kick 12 kinds of ass.
