The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

I'm with ya. Jolie would suck as Catwoman, as all the attention would be taken away from Batman and put on her. Not to mention I just plain don't like her. She's a beautiful woman, but she can't act. :o

I think all the media hype overshadows her acting ability. I think shes a great actress, she was superb in The Bone Collector. Whats that film where shes a superficial news anchor who finds out she only has a few days to live? She was brilliant in that aswell IMO. I don't doubt her acting ability, but I do doubt some of the choices she has made in her career.

Yea the only way Hush would work is if there was a whole DC universe like what Marvel is trying to do. Then we would need a established rogues gallery for Batman. The only reason that story was credible was because it involved every major player from the Bat-verse.
I never said i wanted to see hush or thought he was a reasonable choice.

Yea i never said you said you wanted to see Hush! lol. I was just pointing out that IMO the only way to make Hush worthwile is to have them things in place. The actual Hush story-line wasn't great because of Hush himself, it was because we got to see all of the major players in the Bat-verse in interesting situations. And also I loved the art-work on that series.

For me the Hush storyline was sort of subpar. I think it could have been so much better...but then again I haven't read Hush Returns yet. Overall though, I just don't find him that interesting. As someone pointed out, his only motivation for becoming a villain was that both his parents didn't die that night. Woopty freakin doo.

haha yea it was me who pointed that out!! Yea i don't like Hush, they could of made him so much better seeing as he is very personal to Bruce. But his motivation just isn't realistic, he came across as a whiney spoilt brat.

Yeah I mean like WHITE...she is like from somewhere else man. And why the hell would I be nit-picking if I just don't see Cotillard as Catwoman at all. How the hell would that be classified as nit-picking? To me, she looks absolutely NOTHING like Selina Kyle. And why should you even care? What you're saying isnt convincing me to like Cotillard more for Catwoman....
Marion IS white. She isnt darker than any average american. You liked Keri and Rachel right? They have the same skin-color.

You were asked why you didnt like Marion for Catwoman. You said because she didnt look like the character enough. To me I think Marion look very much like the classic Selina so I asked 'in what way'. You said she looked too european. Totally ignoring a Marion because she looks too european is nit-picking to me. Sorry.

Marion's 'paleness' is because she's European. Apart from Britain, not much of Europe seems to have an obsession with getting a sun-tan or using fake tan products, so her skin is as her skin is naturally. If how pale she looked had a baring on her getting a part I'd be surprised.

Not that I'm trying to change your mind, Changeling, just pointing out why she may seem pale compared to American actresses.

While I like most of these, what in the world would make anyone think to choose Eliza Dushku? She's a typecast actor, and not a very good one at that. She's pretty, no doubt, but she's fallen into that category of "She's pretty, so she's a good actor" following with the fanboys.

Other than that... You counteract that bad choice with Milla as Ivy... I would love to see her play Ivy.

Eliza Dushku is a good actor, so.... you fail. :o

I stand by the fact that she can't act. Great looking, but not great to watch. I'd rather Eliza Dushku play Catwoman. Now that would be funny.

I hate *actresses* who are only on screen just to show their cleavage

note: notice all the different formats I used just to make it clear that I don't think any of these are actually actresses

I think you have just seen the wrong movies ScarecrowMan666

Yea i don't understand this, how can people say Angelina can't act? I admit that in recent years all this "Brangelina" and adoption stuff has overshadowed her work, but IMO no one can deny her talents. She isn't the most well known actress in the world just for looking pretty. Maybe her job choices are questionable recently, all she seems to be in is action films these days, but that doesn't mean she can't play serious roles anymore. A good example is The Bone Collector, she was absoultely stunning in that IMO (and not just looks wise ;);) )

Nope I've seen her supposed good movies, and I just don't like her. :woot:

There's a difference between you not liking her and her being a bad actress though. I'm not her biggest fan. I think there's only a handful of performances that truly earn her the acclaim she gets for just about every role.

But even in The Good Shepherd, she shows how talented she can be. I don't think she was right for the role or good in it, but she brought as much life to the character as she could and was far from wooden or detremental to the film.

That and if someone has seen her in A Mighty Heart and Girl, Interrupted and thinks she is actually a poor actress then I'm wondering what their standards are in terms of what makes a good actress.

Angelina is a very uneven actress. She can be great in one movie, then terrible in one. Girl, Interrupted is by far her most acclaimed work.

I saw the trailer of her new movie 'Changeling', and she looks ridiculously great in it(minus the last 10 seconds). I think this is gonna be the best work of her whole career. Im 99% sure she's gonna be nominated for an oscar this year.
