Catalysts synopsis:


On the night of the Midtown High Fall Formal, Peter Parker finds his overconfidence is nearly his undoing- as both a teenager and a superhero. While his date, Mary Jane Watson, threatens to invert Midtown's social structure, Pete lets her popularity go to his head. So when the mysterious, murderous Green Goblin tries to force L. Thompson Lincoln (a.k.a. Tombstone) to step down as NYC's Big Man of crime, will Spider-Man take this new threat seriously enough- or will he be so cocky he loses his big head?!

Cant wait for the episode to come sounds great and as i said in the other threads i hope they are not pulling another identity change like shocker and have tombstone actually be big man. I think they are leading us the viewers to think it is him but then in the end it will be revealed that it is foswell and it will be a bigger shock to peter and others.
 
I love the sounds of Gobby trying to take over the rackets.

A cool aspect of the character that hasn't been used for at least 40 years.
 
I'm not to excited on tptb following the original comic book storyline of The Green Goblin wanting to take compleate control of The Crime Ring in New York . I prefer The 90's Introduction of Gobby . Which gobby just tries to get Revenge on all the people whoever did wrong to Norman Osborn .

I mean if you think about it Osborn already has power running Oscorp , and since Tptb can't use Fisk yet in the series . Osborn is one of the richest Men in New York , Why would he need to be in charge of the crime in New York ? When he's already a very wealth, powerful & successful Business Man .

Leave The Whole trying to take over the rackets. to The Hobgoblin like the 90's did .

Why stop there when he could go beyond, and control everything? :cwink:

The point is that originally people didn't know that GG was Osborne, so that didn't really matter and it came as a shock when the reveal was made.

I for one love that they're playing to the original.

Agreed, that's one of the reasons this show is doing so amazing. It's staying true to the comics with alot of things.
 
Yea thats the best thing when they take alot of aspects from the comics for the show. Yes there is changes like race looks, and eddie and the whole shocker/montana deal(hopefully doesnt happen to other villains). Also is any mob going to close/delete the second catalysts thread?

I get the point , However IMO this move seems to cheapen the
character of Norman Osborn into a Lex Luthor rip-off character. Instead of the stand alone Character Norman Osborn has become in the comics .

Yeah, though I had no problem with Montana as Shocker.

I too love that their paying tribute to the original source material from comics on the show . However their are certain things in the comics that just wouldn't work on a realistic level .

I say if they could change The Shocker origin from Herman to Montana then they could Change the origin of The Green Goblin too .

They aren't going to change the origin of the Green Goblin. It's just so unlikely.
 
One of the reason I loved The 90's introduction of The Green Goblin is that Norman's motives for becoming The Goblin, wasn't to become The Kingpin of crime in New York City (Instead that was The Hobgoblin's agenda ) but was to settle a Vendetta with all of Norman's enemies (Fisk, Hardy, & Jameson) . Even the first movie in The Spider-Man trilogy by Sam Raimi & company followed that same format (With Norman using the Goblin persona to get revenge on The Oscorp borad members that tried to take over his company .)
 
I though we were getting 2 new episodes each week. Instead we're only getting one new episode this week and another new one in 2 weeks. this sucks.

Get over it already it was one character.

Green Goblin is a much bigger villain then the Shocker so they prolly wont change his orgin.
