Here are two images I've found that I like. If she is going to have goggles, then they should be night vision and glow. To differentiate the suit from past incarnations I'd design her suit with fibre optic tube lights like loose tiger stripes in fluorescent pink, blue, and violet.
What direction do you want to see taken with Catwoman's suit if she is in the third film (given a love interest is needed)?

I don't see that design happening. It's gotta be grittier. Less flashy. I don't see Nolan adding those corny goggles either. I see, or hope I see, him going with a more classic Catwoman look. So far, Burton has used my favorite Catwoman costume, but seeing as Nolan's Joker costume topped Burtons, I have more than enough faith that the same will happen here with Catwoman.

Well Batman had sonar eyes so i doubt heel ditch her goggles so long as he gives them nightvision capabilities

I think Darwyn Cooke made it a point to redesign Catwoman with a realistic costume

That was only for the big climatic end, though, and he vowed never to use it again. Not to mention they weren't big and nerdy looking. I always hated those big goggles on Catwoman.

They're big depending on who draws them. Jim Lee went smaller.

The point stands that her current costume is the most movie friendly

I love her current costume. Its her best outfit imo along with her Batman Returns get up. I've always thought if she was placed in this current franchise that she would look something like her current comic costume.

Stealthy, easy to move in (meaning no leather or reflective materials), functional, tools and equipment built into the costume, more than just a one piece bodysuit and a whip, in other words, pretty much what I'd expect Nolan to do with it.

Only if you're going for a campy approach. That's not Nolan's Batman. He didn't even have Joker wear proper make-up or have bleached skin because he felt that wasn't grounded enough. Instead it looked like an ametuer applied it(or a mad man). Even Batman's costume is armored up and bullet proof, unlike the comics, giving less of a kiddy feel. I just don't see the goggles happening, especially if Nolan wants to top Burton's Catwoman.

It would make sense a 'realistic' Catwoman to have nightvision goggles, but they don't have to be all curved and cat shaped, and she doesn't have to always been wearing them, they can be somehting she pulls out of a built-in pocket or bag of tools.

It all depends what they want to go for. If they want to just adapt her current suit, i wouldnt mind that

Or something more like Batmans suit(meaning more protection)

Though i doubt they would go either route.

Hold on you're saying that this:

is better than a one piece, probably lightly armored catsuit with night vision goggles?

Night vision goggles do not glow. Someone has been playing too much Splinter Cell. ;)

I know they don't glow-- it's for cinematic purposes.

I like Burton's Catwoman but Nolan needs to do something different.
But he also needs to change the batsuit-- it is far too busy.

If you're going to have glowing NV goggles, you may as well just use one of these-- lighter, cheaper, less likely to break, and only slightly more likely to get you caught.

Anyway, I think that Darwyn Cook's Catwoman design would work just fine on film. Maybe they'll change her belt a little bit to look more like real gear, but other than that I don't see much about the suit that wouldn't fit in the Nolanverse.

When I think about Catwoman's gear I think of Mission Impossible (3).

Batman has changed things, the freaks are going to be out, the narcissists who want on the news; flashy costumes and all.

I want to see an electric Catwoman, a fluorescent Catwoman, as transhuman as Nolan's Batman (with as much tech lust), and some color to contrast against Batman's black on black.

An expert cat burglar wouldn't wear purple, I'm sorry. Like I said, Darwyn Cook's design is already very close to what's in line with Nolan's bat-verse. It's functional and sexy at the same time, and it looks like something you could almost believe a real cat burglar would wear (minus the signature cat ears, which must stay or it's not Catwoman).

The cat ears could be explained as:

"Well if a guard starts telling stories about how a giant cat robbed the museum he was supposed to be watching he'll be looking for a new job pretty soon"

Yes. You see, Catwoman is supposed to look like a dominatrix wearing home made suductive latex or tight leather, and definitely not like a geek, which the goggles make her look very much like.

She's not wearing lab goggles, they're stylized night-vision lenses.

She's a thief not a sex worker the Burton costume isn't suitable for realistically pulling off that kind of work at all.

Where does she keep any of her tools?

How does she make off with loot?

How the hell does see what she's doing?

She's trying to be as nearly as stealthy as Batman; do you honestly think that costume fits in with that kind of thinking?

so, basically you want shumakers catwoman?

Where are some of those great manips from elgato and jmc or batboy? Those designs are the closest to what I'd want to see as Catwoman (armor may be a bit bulky though).

theres two up there ^
If you want those armour ones i did, here they are

And heres one that isnt my design, but i like it. Its a manip I did of Majik1387's design

Elgato's is more like Batman's suit, my designs are just with a little bit of armour.

I just don't like how the goggles point up. They just remind me too much like those old-fashioned pointy glasses.
