CG Venom vs. Prosthetics Venom

Im sure it will be something similar to spawn but of course wayyy better.

I want it to be mainly Prosthetics but for certain actions/scenes it would have to go CGI a bit here and there.

All they have to CGI is his tounge and his fight scenes. If you look closely at the Topher Grace poster, you can see he has fangs! they look freakey!

is it true the movie would come out this year if it wasnt for venom?

this how they promote the movie.
they tell you that venom is the reaso nwhy they need to wait another year;). this way some people will think that venom will be so good because they needed another year.

dont belive everything. lets not forget how much bull... singer and the producers said.

I believe Venom was chosen after the release date was chosen.

Raimi said before the reason it took three years is because for part 2 they had aimed for their prime release date of may 4th, and they were unable to have it ready in time, so it got moved to July, and to make sure they got that prime spot in may 4th, they decided on 3 years instead of two.

I also remember that in part 2 Raimi wanted more action, but the studio insisted on a 2 year wait, and their shoot wasn't going to be long enough to tell the story he wanted to tell.

this time he doesn't have to worry about it, and notice this is an extremely long shoot. Remember way back in November Christina Cindrich had already spent a week filiming her scenes for part 3. So did Jonah. And Harry had already done some principla photogrpahy for action scenes to give the CGI artists a big head start on things. so did Chruch. Even though official photography didn't begin untill january, they had still filmed a lot already.

this is a really long shoot.

either A.

this movie is three hourse something long

or

B.

a small portion of what's been filmed is actually a head start on part 4.

Actually I doubt this movie will be 3 hours. 140-150 mins most likely.

I think Venom should just be Brock with the black Spiderman symbiote suit which has absorbed his spider powers rather than having fake looking teeth in CGI or Prosthetics which don't make sense in the continuity of the film. Why did Spiderman never have teeth?

At first in the comics Venom just had regular teeth, not big sharp teeth. Brock just let his mouth show through the symbiote costume for a creepy effect. Venom's teeth and jaws got more monsterish when Eric Larsen took over the art on ASM from MacFarlane.

As for movie Venom having sharp teeth when symbiote Spidey didn't - Eddie Brock is insane, so there you go. Most of the general public who are familiar with Venom expect big sharp teeth, so those have to be part of the movie.

He's gonna be CGI.

I think we will see 80% CGI and 20% prothetics.

Knowing Sony Imageworks, I would probably agree. I'd prefer a 50/50 ratio myself however.

Man, just thinking about trying to act with **** all over your face and body (which would be the case regardless of which combination of techniques they use) breaks my mind.

If the money's right, you'd have no problem with ***** all over your face.

Why do you say that?

Because he said so. Numerous times, albeit with slight variations.
