Sequels Chameleon or Mysterio

Let the fans decide. Who will it be Chameleon master of disguise or Mysterio master of illusions. Who should be introduced first if not at all? Who would make a better story in an overall plot? Who are you a bigger fan of? What ideas would you have for the two villains. Which one is more cheesy? Let us put it to the test once and for all. Who is more deserving of a role in SM5 or SM6?

That whole "taking on other people's forms" that Chameleon uses has been done to death in the X-Men film's already.

Chameleon I think would be more effective on screen than Mysterio would be, but they really shouldn't use either for awhile. Film 7 at the earliest.

I voted for Mysterio. Visuals would be pretty cool, and I really enjoyed his somewhat revamped appearance and storyline in the Spider-Man 2 video game so I believe he can be successfully reinterpreted by Raimi in a future sequel. That, and the idea of Bruce Campbell as Quentin Beck is yet another reason I would want to see Mysterio appear in a future sequel.

Mysterio. He can give us more than the Chameleon can, and at the same time give us what Chameleon could.

Also, why does everyone want him to tie into MJ's carreer? I don't think it is neccessary. Mysterio doesn't need to be a stalker in order to get a movie storyline. Plus, haven't we seen MJ in enough danger already?

We've apparently entered the realm in the Spidey films that we are all but guarenteed atleast two villains in future Spidey films. So saying villains like Scorpion, Chamelon, Mysterio, or Electro are characters that cannot carry a film is really beside the point. The only one that I can think of offhand that may possibly be able to carry a film alone is The Lizard. But I sincerely doubt that will ultimately prove to be the case however.

Nobody said he had to be a stalker. MJ could just be hired for a movie and suddenly things start going wrong on the set. It turns out that its just Mysterio getting revenge on the producers or whatever.

Here's is what I thought of for a Mysterio setup.... I am banking MJ/Peter break up or put it on hold after SM4.... so maybe in SM5 Peter tries to win back MJ's affections (but Black Cat gets in the way) and MJ starts seeing someone else and so on and so forth.... but I digress.... here is what Mysterio's story line COULD be...

So as I said Peter could be trying to win back MJ's affections... I think he himself should offer himself (Spiderman) a role in a movie being filmed within SM5 as part of the plot. Maybe Parker hopes to impress MJ or maybe Felicia or maybe he just sees it as an exciting opportunity (way better than his job at the bugle). Here's the plot... Beck is in charge of visual effects but with Spiderman making a cameo in the movie the producers feel there is no need for visuals and they let Beck lose. The scene with Spiderman involves him swinging down and saving a famous actress from her 50 story fall. I am thinking Beck could some how rig the harness that holds the actress when they drop her in the scene.... then you throw in some illusions that causes Spiderman to see multiple images as he swoops down. Bottom line is... the famous actress gets killed... and the public wants to charge Spidey of man slaughter... I think that is a public and brutal way to setup Spidey in SM5 that can set some interesting pieces in motion... at least something along those lines... framing Spidey shouldn't just be snapshots of Spidey robbing a bank or anything that trivial... it needs to be murder. End of story.

Looking at your sig FaT_tONle... Spidey6 should just be the "Return of Ock" right. Why would he need the other five? They are not going to go with his plan unless they where getting something out of it.

I had to cut the SM6 sentence summary short cause you are only allowed 250 characters... I haven't thought up of a decent S6 plot yet though... if I can think of a better one sent summary of each sequel then I will... but I firmly believe it should be Ock and a Sinister 6 for SM6... I'll conjure up plot ideas that are worth sharing eventually. But even if they don't go the Sinister 6 route for SM6... I think those two story lines I laid out for the next two can lay important ground work for the franchise leading into the finale... but its all about the buildup to SM6. Nobody has qute nailed what it should be exactly if anything

Chameleon should be introduced first, somewhere around when Kraven appears. He has a lot more character depth, but Mysterio is a lot flashier. Chameleon should show up first as a side villain and then Mysterio in the next film as a main one.

Well, yeah; me too. I thought this thread was just speculating which of these two particular characters we would rather see in a Spidey movie some day.
