Do you know that Darth Plagueis is an alien? And died during the PT?

Yes, I know Plagueis is an alien, and yes, I know we were told by Palpatine/Sidious that he (Plagueis) was killed in his sleep at some point prior to the events of Episode III. However, Darth Maul has been canonically resurrected thanks to the The Clone Wars cartoon, so it is not out of the realm of possibility for it to be revealed in the ST that Plagueis deceived Palpatine/Sidious into thinking he was dead only to emerge years and years later to try and make his own mark as the ultimate Lord of the galaxy.

It wouldn't be that difficult to turn Joseph Fiennes into a convincing alien, and his facial structure is significantly different that, if he were to be made up to be Darth Plagueis, there wouldn't be comparisons automatically drawn to his brother Ralph's appearance as Lord Voldemort.

The way I see it, Star Wars never brought big names to lead so why mess with the formula? Have a few veteran actors to balance things out and keep the main cast lesser known or at least B movie type actors. Personally I'd see to it Collin Salmon, Tilda Swinton and Ron Pearlman as the older mentors/villains.

I'd rather not have actors play different roles throughout the Saga, it's not necessary.

I like the idea of Willem Dafoe as a Jedi or other hero-aligned character.

Some A/B-Listers are expected and welcome.

Willem Dafoe as a hero would be such a waste of talent. IMO he just has a crazy face and theres so much insanity just brewing from his eyes, part of why he was such a good Green Goblin. Making him a good guy just wouldn't do him justice, he could be a very convincing Tarkin like character though!

And as for the Plageuis idea, I think he should stay dead, Im not too big on the prequels but I love when Palpatine tells Anakin the story of his old master. The look on his face when he says "and his apprentice killed him while in his sleep" was perfect, the way he held back a smirk, he wanted so badly to bask in the pride of his final victory over his master, but theres so much cowardice in killing him as he slept. IMO leave it be.

I would however love to see a prequel to Phantom Menace about a young Palpatine and Darth Plagueis.

Also I want Topher Grace to have a role, he's a huge star wars fan, he even made his own fan edit of the prequels. He'd be a good youthful student of Luke. Oh and Ewin needs to reprise his role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I think the protagonist needs to at minimum meet the ghost of Vader, but Obi-Wan would be cool too.

Keep that guy away from SW. I'm a huge SW fan and I've made SW related stuff, but I'm not qualified to even kiss the pavement outside the studio where Ep7 will be shot. And neither is Venom wannabe.

Yes to Campbell. And I want him to be quite bad-ass, and not just a comic relief.

Oh god. Raimi was the one the didn't write Venom right and Avi Arad was the one that forced Raimi to put him in in the first place. He's a good actor and even in Spider-Man 3 he acted 10 times more than Natalie Portman did in all 3 prequels. It's like she thought herself above star wars.

I don't want to see a bunch of Jedi or bs'd politics in this trilogy thats what screwed up the prequels so badly. If they're gonna do anything make one main character learn to be a Jedi and don't include more than 3 force related characters in each film. It makes the Jedi so much cooler and more realistic.

Also I don't wanna see any of the damn kids accept maybe Jacen. I don't want to see Mara Jade or lightsaber Leia either, if they need to take someone from the EU make it Kyle Katarn.

Yvonne Strahovski not only beautiful, but has a dangerous edge to her as well, I think she would fit well into the Star Wars universe.

I'd prefer if they cast mainly unknowns, with maybe a few famous actors, like they did in the Original Trilogy.

The best way to start fresh is to mainly get fresh blood. That way, people judge it on it's own terms, and not because of the actors attached.
