Charlie Kaufman is set to direct a new feature film with Nicolas Cage, Steve Carell and Jack Black all attached to the project.

Plot:
A Hollywood satire about a director named Frank who clashes with a blogger named Francis.

The Playlist have more details on the script.

Looking forward to see this because not only is this movie a satire, but it's also a musical. Needless to say, I'm very interested to see how this will turn out.

It looks interesting.I'll see this movie when it comes out.

It sounds bizarre and hilarious, we can always count on Kaufman to bring in the goods and I'm glad he's stepping behind the camera again and with that cast, man that'd be fantastic.

Sounds great. Cage was dynamite in Adaptation, and Carrell and Black are both actors I think would do well with one of Kaufman's scripts.

Kline is a great addition to the cast.

Variety revealed the characters role that the actors will be playing.

Black will play Francis, a charmless yet extremely intelligent Internet troll who reviews movies online.

Carell is in talks to play Frank, a successful, somewhat pretentious filmmaker who is cheating on his wife.

Cage will portray The Emcee, an actor famous for commercial, high-concept films including his most recent hit, "Fat Dad."

As for Kline, he'll play Richard Waller, the brother of Jonathan Waller, the director of a fictional film titled "Hiroshima," the highest-grossing movie of all-time. Kline will also play Richard's Head, an animatronic head that, through the use of advanced screenwriting techniques, helps Jonathan develop a completely inoffensive product that will have the broadest possible appeal and zero artistic integrity.

My excitement for this movie is increasing with every bit of news.

You had me at "Charlie Kaufman musical." But this cast certainly adds to the excitement.

But going against yesterday's news, the article says that Winslet is not in the film.

God I hope not. :(

Still, without her involvement, it doesn't take away from the brilliant cast Kaufman has assembled.

Cage wore a fat suit in Adaptation aswell didn't he?

I'm all over this film.

I'm sold. I will watch Cage do anything, but I'm glad to see him still picking potentially quality films (can't wait to see what GR2 is like)

This is so weird, but I'm sure it'll be good. I'd like to get into Kaufman's head sometime, just to see what it's like.

Did he? I thought he just gained some pounds. It was a pretty subtle fat suit, if he did.

Damn, that's weird. He just didn't seem that fat. Well, I mean, he was fatter than Cage generally, but not enough to make me think he had a suit on.

I think it was just to make him look a bit "softer", coz yea, he didn't actually seem bigger.
