Since Gamecube Controllers will be in demand with Brawl coming out, it'd only make sense for Nintendo to re-release them, especially the Wavebird, since they're impossible to find new now.
So today I emailed Nintendo this:
Here's the response I got:
Hooray for computer generated responses! Take out the "re-releasing the Nintendo Gamecube Wavebird Wireless Controller" and you can put just about anything in there. I love how then they go on to say they're "innovators in the creating of interactive entertainment". That's fine and all, but unfortunately has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
So today I emailed Nintendo this:
Because Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be compatible Gamecube controllers, there will be a high demand for consumers to purchase new Gamecube controllers, especially the Wavebird Wireless controllers. Does Nintendo have any plans to re-release wired Gamecube controllers and the Wavebird wireless controllers? I, like many people, have used their Gamecube controllers very much over the years leaving them very worn out and almost unusable. However, Nintendo does not offer repair service for them. People are left to purchase new ones which are difficult to find in stores. I hope Nintendo does have plans to re-release both wired and wireless Gamecube controllers in the future. If not, I hope this email is enough to make Nintendo consider this. I believe it would be a very appropriate decision due to the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Thank you
Here's the response I got:
