Wow. Those officers should at least be suspended while the situation is being investigated.

The cops should be suspended until all of the details can be distilled, but this sounds suspicious to me. These guys claim that they were maliciously attacked for no reason by law enforcement...as much as I am inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt for taking evidence of wrongdoing I'm just not sure if that exonerates them in this case. It could just as easily be a defense for their conduct if the cops are right on this.

The department said the plaintiffs were fighting amongst themselves and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

Their attorneys said they only did so to avoid huge legal expenses and the possibility of a jail time.

Yeah....

But they have enough money to hire a lawyer for their big lawsuit....
