Apparently they're remaking this film, why I dunno, I guess because they're remaking all of the other horror films of the 80's. I'm kinda iffy on the cast

Danny Trejo as Paul "Paulie" Thompson
Jensen Ackles as Jack Santos
Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray "Chucky" (voice)
Lauren Graham as Karen Barclay
Colin Ford as Andy Barclay
Johnny Yong Bosch as Uncle Jake Barclay *Black Ranger!?!?!? WTF*
Ariel Gade as Terri Douglas
Lisa Foiles as Andy's Babysitter
Jared Padalecki as Charles Lee Ray (Human)

The film been in the works for a couple yrs now. Best thing going writer/producer/director. Of the series is returning. And brad is due to be voice of chucky again.

who knows to bring chucky back to original form, and do things they didnt do with the first films. I am sure it will turn out fine.

Ackles, Padalecki and Ford? Did someone just watch a couple episodes of Supernatural and decide to cast them?

I'm curious as to where the news and cast list came from.

The last Chucky movie was so awful, it was UWE BOLL BAD

I'm trying to erase it from my memory, I'm half way there b/c I don't recall of it besides Method Man and Britters making cameos.

Maybe next they'll remake Leprachaun with Verne Troyer.

To be fair to Brit, it was a look alike and a reference, she wasn't part of the movie.
Method Man's involvement was ******ed though.

That really was awful . The only upside was Brad Dourif. If he's involved with the next one I might give it a chance but the original still holds up for me.

It was Redman, not Method Man. And that wasn't Britney Spears, it was an impersonator. Britney even took action when that scene was referenced in TV spots, anyone remember at the end of the TV spots the disclaimer "BRITNEY SPEARS DOES NOT APPEAR IN THIS FILM."

Anyway, I don't believe this cast. But I'm all for more Chucky.

See, it was so bad I don't even remember who the cast was.

Told you I had mostly erased it from my memory:up:

But I put it back in!

I liked the guy using Glen as a ventriloquism dummy and John Waters mistaking Chucky pleasuring himself for a vertically challenged individual... Pleasuring himself.

DAMN YOU!

How does a doll have sperm?

Don't you remember in the past films the longer Chucky is a doll the closer he becomes this odd Human/Doll hybrid. It's why he can bleed in the movies and as the movie goes on screams from pain. Like in the first he had to jump bodies before he became fully doll/human.

Lol, what's even worse is that in the first film, that voodoo doctor told Chucky that if he stayed in the doll's body any longer, he would be stuck. Well, 2 films later, he has the same motive. Child's Play 3 had an older Andy so with that much time passed between 2 and 3, he might as well give up and call it a day, Hence the phrase "Stuck like Chuck" :o

So what happens if the chuckster never gets a human body? Will he become more and more human until he just eventually transforms into a midget?

The only way I would be even some what interested in this. Is if they make it more vague as to whether or not it is the doll killing, or the kid. Maybe even switch it up & actually make the kid the killer this time. It is so that Chucky transferred his soul in to Andy earlier in the movie you just didn't know it.

I don't know how they will top the batteries falling out of the box scene. That scene is so amazing. Even though everyone knew what the Chuckster was up to. It was still a chilling scene to watch the mother make a horrifying discovery.

Chucky's first kill was oddly played off like that. It was almost like they forgot we saw the opening scene . It would be a nice twist to the story but most people might be dissapointed .

What I think should happen in this is that Chucky manipulates Andy by getting him to kill him on purpose so he can have a human body again. Andy doesn't know that it's the only way that Charles can be in a human body again,it kind of sounds derivative but that's the best that I can come up with for it to make it's self different from the other Child's Play movies. In terms of a plot.

Or the twist is that Andy was Chucky at times switching forms through voodoo.

Stop with the remakes. For the love of god just stop.

sure they dont need to remake/reboot chucky. God i agree some things getting rebooted these days are not needed. But having brad and the creator/writer of the chucky films still on board is major plus marks this has.

I agree. I wish there were a way to not watch them! But alas, I do not look forward to having my eyes pried open and being tied to the seat in the movie theater!

The creator mentioned many moons ago that he intended it to be much more vague as to whether it was Andy or Chucky.

When the reboot was announced it was actually the creator wanting to do it to get back to the more dark Chucky. He also wanted to do what he was originally intending.

If the original creator is attached to the project I normally don't care about it being remade. I just get bothered when it is pretty clear that the studio is just wanting to make some money off of some of there older projects for no reason.

Totally if a producer/writer/director is doing or a key part in a reboot I think its alot better then some studio just trying to make a quick buck off the property.
