Axl Rose = oral sex

yeah, anyway...'bout time he release this damn thing!

Lol im no roses fan, but even i know this album better be mega epic. or it will be a mighty fail

How long's this been due out for?

I'm a huge Guns N' Roses fan and I hope the album does well. I'll definitely buy it when it's released though. It's been a long, long time coming and for as long as Axl has been working on the album it can either be a monster success or an epic fail.

I sincerely hope it's a success because Guns N' Roses are a very talented band and it would be nice if Slash, Izzy, Steven, and Duff were involved with Axl again but it's not ging to happen. :csad:

The album has taken fourteen years and $13 million to record. It better be goddamn Mozart level **** or it'll be the biggest waste of time and money in the history of pop music. But who knows..."SMiLE" lived up to impossible expectations, so "Chinese Democracy" could really be Axl's masterpiece.

I doubt it though.

Guns n’ Roses released a statement today officially confirming the arrival of Chinese Democracy on November 23rd. “The release of Chinese Democracy marks a historic moment in rock n’ roll,” said Irving Azoff and Andy Gould. They also added that Best Buy would be launching a “monumental campaign that matches the groundbreaking sound of the album itself.” Pre-orders begin today for the 14-track album co-produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo (Pearl Jam’s No Code, Rage Against the Machine’s Evil Empire). Chinese Democracy will be available on CD, digital download and vinyl (with a free digital download option) through Geffen Records and Black Frog (Rose’s publishing company). Follow the jump for the official press release.
MINNEAPOLIS, October 22, 2008 – Best Buy and Geffen Records announced that one of the most highly anticipated albums of all time, Guns N’ Roses’ Chinese Democracy, will be available beginning Nov. 23 at Best Buy and BestBuy.com on CD, vinyl, and digital downloads. The title track, the first single from the album, was released to radio today, October 22. Chinese Democracy is the first album of new material from one of rock’s most influential bands since the 1991 simultaneous releases of Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II.
“The release of Chinese Democracy marks a historic moment in rock n’ roll,” said co-managers Irving Azoff and Andy Gould. “We’re launching with a monumental campaign developed by Gary Arnold and the Best Buy team that matches the groundbreaking sound of the album itself. Guns N’ Roses fans have every reason to celebrate, for this is only the beginning.”
“Chinese Democracy is one of the most highly anticipated albums in music history, and Best Buy is thrilled to deliver this explosive and previously elusive release to Guns N’ Roses fans. Longtime fans will be rewarded for their patience and loyalty to this great band, while a new generation of fans will be blown away,” said Gary Arnold, Senior Entertainment Officer for Best Buy. “Axl Rose is one of the most dynamic and gifted writers and performers in modern music. Best Buy is excited to work with Axl to make the release of Chinese Democracy THE musical event of 2008!”
“Guns N’ Roses is THE premier American rock band,” commented Steve Berman, President, Sales and Marketing, Interscope Geffen A&M Records. “Partnering with Gary and everyone at Best Buy to release one of rock’s most anticipated and legendary albums is truly a moment in music history. We’re thrilled to be able to announce that Chinese Democracy is coming, it’s coming this year, and it’s coming to Best Buy.”
Produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo, the album, which will be released on Black Frog/Geffen Records, includes 14 tracks. “Shackler’s Revenge” debuted September 14 through the Rock Band 2 videogame and “If The World” can be heard in the film Body Of Lies, which premiered on October 11.
Chinese Democracy is being released in three formats: CD, Vinyl LP (with a free digital download of the tracks), and as a digital album. Pre-orders at www.BestBuy.com/chinesedemocracy begin today.

The new single's been doing the rounds today, what do you guys think? I love it, it's a noticeable improvement from the leak and overall, a great mission statement from the new band. You can hear it on the offical site :yay:

You can hear Chinese Democracy(the new single) on the official website.

True, forgot that

Can't believe it's actually happening!!!

I Know, they also had like sixteen .15second promo videos with new songs on the website two days ago. The songs on there that i didn't hear before sound really good.

Since this album took 14 years to make, it'd better be better than GnR's Appetitte for Destruction or else. :cmad:

Yeah, I heard them over at gunsnroses.us and I've gotta agree that the unheard tracks were gobsmackingly good, even if there were only a few seconds of them. It had catchy bloody lyrics too ("Don't you try and stop us now"- brilliant!)

It's the remastered "Catcher In The Rye", I'm most looking forward to though:yay:

Dr Pepper Will Give Everyone** in America a Free Soda If Axl Rose Releases New Guns N' Roses Album, Chinese Democracy, In 2008
PR Newswire
**Guitarists Slash and Buckethead Will Not Be Eligible For Free Soda

PLANO, Texas, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Tired of a world in which Americans idolize wannabe singers and musicals about high schoolers pass as rock 'n roll music, Dr Pepper is encouraging (ok, begging) Axl Rose to finally release his 17-year-in-the-making belabored masterpiece, Chinese Democracy, in 2008.

In an unprecedented show of solidarity with Axl, everyone in America, except estranged GNR guitarists Slash and Buckethead, will receive a free can of Dr Pepper if the album ships some time -- anytime! -- in 2008. Dr Pepper supports Axl, and fully understands that sometimes you have to make it through the jungle before you get it right.

"It took a little patience to perfect Dr Pepper's special mix of 23 ingredients, which our fans have come to know and love," said Jaxie Alt, director of marketing for Dr Pepper. "So we completely understand and empathize with Axl's quest for perfection -- for something more than the average album. We know once it's released, people will refer to it as "Dr Pepper for the ears" because it will be such a refreshing blend of rich, bold sounds -- an instant classic."

That was from another message board I go to. The link to the article doesn't work any more but it looks like we can get some free Dr. Pepper.

RoboAmish are you registered on the tracker?

yeah, under the name "roboaxl". Don't really use it though (in fact, I'm pretty sure they might have deleted my account for inactivity, because they're always pruning off members due to a lack of places:o)

I doubt Dr. Pepper will make good on their promise, since it's a promise they never intend to keep due to their belief that Chinese Democracy will not be released in 2008.

I've always been suspicious of Dr. Pepper and their interest in this album. I remeber Axl saying something along the lines of "keep the Dr. Pepper on ice" when it was announced, which were the first rumblings that the cd might hit this year

I still think it was a ploy and the management was in on it...

I've listened to the song about 50 times today and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the final version. The extra guitar sound mixed in the middle of it is cool as hell.
The layering of axl's voice, one low and in front, one high and in the back.

It almost felt like a new track. Almost. :(

if the other 3 new songs are leaked I must not listen. I need something new. :)
I've heard 11 of the 14 songs on the disc and I already know it's great.
Hopefully this is a sign of great music to come. I've been bored with rock since 2000.
Please AXL, 3 albums in 3 years. Keep the plan!!!

I feel like I'm in the Bizzarro world.
Is this thing actually coming out???

WOO-HOO
