CHKDSK woes

So, sometimes, I go to defrag my 250 drive, and I'm told "You can't do that, because CHKDSK is scheduled to run". Problem is, I never ever schedule it.
 
chkdsk /f will fix item upon a reboot

I believe the system will run chkdsk sometimes when the system detects issues.
 
:eek:^Your hard drive must be in a mess!

I know where everything I need is. I've plenty of space and my computer runs smoothly. I'd rather not invest 48-72 hours defragging.
