Chloe Sullivan vs. Veronica Mars: Battle of The Teen Detectives!

An interesting fact, that not many people know, is that Kirsten Bell originally auditoned for the role of Chloe Sullivan, on Smallville. Only a few years later, she would get a shot at essentially playing the same role, as a new character, on a show that would eventually go to the same network, that she auditioned to work for (the CW, formerly, UPN and The WB). Here we are presented with two super sleuthing heroes who have a knack for investigation, the other parallels are equally as obvious. Including being short, blonde and recently portrayed as graduating high school and moving on to university. So who gets your vote as the better teen sleuth? Ms.Mars, who follows in the steps of her father, or Ms.Sullivan, who goes toe to toe (intellectually speaking) with the Luthors?

considering Veronica Mars is essentially a Chloe ripoff, I'd have to say Chloe, even though Kristen Bell > Allison Mack.

Chloe, seen her trunk? She's loaded for bear ;)

Veronica gets my vote in a heart beat. Kirsten Bell is a hotty. and she does a better modern day version of "Nancy Drew" .

i still havent seen a VM episode
so CS win sby default

For originality, Chloe came first so she wins.

Bell is deffinatly hotter though, and I haven't seen VM either Boomster.

Veronica Mars is a very good show that follows in the same vein as other popular tween/teen/twenty-something shows, such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Angel etc. The only difference is, that Veronica is set in an all real world, as opposed to one that is mixed in with science fiction or the occult. The writing is pretty brilliant and the plots are elaborate. I personally only started watching Veronica Mars last season, and have since, watched every episode for the current, new season (so i've missed half of season two and all of season one). But I really like it. I personally voted for Veronica Mars, just to provide an off set for the potential bias (after all, this is a smallville forum). But I more than likely feel that they are both equally impressive characters. Since the CW owns both shows, I think it would be really great to have a cross over, in which Chloe some how winds up in California. Both shows have already featured Sean Ashmore, so why not take it a step further and have actual characters briefly sharing continuity, without making hints at Superman. It would be a cool team up.

I don't watch VM but Lex Luthor is considered one of the most cunning and intelligent people in the DC Universe and the fact that Chloe can hold her own with him says a lot about how good she really is.

uh correct me if im wrong i dont watch the show but didnt veronica mars have aaron ashmore not shawn....now smallvile dont matter cuz both have been on it...i was just curious bout mars

I have to vote "Both."

I like Veronica as a character more than I like Chloe.. but Chloe's on SV.. and I can't vote against SV. :)

Kristen Bell is amazing. I can't believe that Mack beat her for the role in Smallville. I don't think that Mack would be able to hold her own show the way that Kristen does.

I'm not surprised by the poll result

1. This is a smallville forum

2. Many members on here haven't seen Veronica Mars. [because if they did they'd know that Mars is a lot better.]

3. The Chloe fans .

Well, it took Chloe what, 4 years to finally figure out Clark had abilities. That alone gives Veronica the win.

Willow Rosenburg beats both of em!

But I choose Veronica over Chloe.

Veronica Mars. The things that show puts her through and she still comes out of it with her head held high.
