Chocolate City

Make the main love interest a big white woman just to generate the ****storm.

Melissa McCarthy in a role her fans have never seen her in before & she will fight Rebel Wilson in a fight to the death. For the Urban Magic Mike

You mean Urban Black Magic Mike.

I can think of...

Love Don't Cost a Thing - Can't Buy Me Love
Guess Who - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
Death at a Funeral - Death at a Funeral
Obsessed - Fatal Attraction

Guess Who is a bit of a mixed bag.

It was simultaneously "urbanized" and white washed.

The name of the movie is a bit offensive but it's a pretty hot idea.

They should crossover with magic mike.

Sexy sexy crossover

It works. :o

Oh gawd. :exp:

I'm getting so many weird looks in my office right now cause my coworkers saw that shirtless pic of Arnez and Tyson as I was scrolling. Great.

But this movie would sound less annoying if it wasn't for the religion plot. So sick and tired of movies with a predominately black cast being about church ****. Not every black person is a "God-fearing Christian" church goer.

Yo' black ass gonna burn in hell.

Can't wait for the urban version of 50 Shades of Gray :o

That one will definitely be a Tyler Perry production. :o

I'm imagining a scene of Madea walking in on black Christian Grey going to town on her neice or something like that.

On the plus side, you'll get all the women in the office coming up and hugging you and giving you backrubs because of the "courage" you've shown. :woot:

Anyways, why does "urban" always mean black? Does it mean Asian-Americans and Latinos tend to live in rural Arkansas?

Well, in that case, maybe it's best to avoid it. :o

Don't movies like this actually encourage the reproduction of stereotypes? I mean I understand creating a movie with a similar plot and marketing it at another demographic, that's fine, but is it necessary to include stereotypes so you make sure that demographic KNOWS it's marketed at them?

I mean like in White House Down Jamie Foxx is the president, but it wasn't enough for him to just be black. No, no, we're obviously too dense to notice, they have to give him Air Jordans and a Cadillac that looks like it was on every episode of Pimp my Ride?

Chris Rock has made it a minor industry. In addition to Death at a Funeral, he remade Heaven Can Wait as Down to Earth and Chloe in the Afternoon as I Think I Love My Wife.

:hehe:

Can we please stop with the "Urban" ********? It's a black version of Magic Mike. And please don't come to me with that African American garbage, I have never been to Africa in any way shape or form. If white people can just be called Americans then so can I. Yes my ancestors were slaves but I was not born in Africa, nothing wrong with being born there but I wasn't. Sorry about that rant. lol

Anyway black or white, male strippers just don't do it for me. I don't want some half naked man shaking his Alfred Hitchcock in my face, that's just ugh.

Maybe you've been to the wrong strip clubs?
