I just love the coinage 'Balenesque'. I am meeting friends for lunch in about eleven hours, and I swear to you that I will use that word. let's see if it raises any eyebrows!

It's sad Bale's Batman turned out the way it did. It had so much more potential. Bale is one of the best living actors, he could give us a perfect comic book Batman if that's what the project called for, but he was mis-directed. Nolan's heart wasn't in the comics enough to give us comic book Batman.

I actually agree with those who say his batman can be improved on. When typing my little tribute to Bale, I was thinking of how his Bruce Wayne cannot be topped, but his batman can (he was still excellent in the cowl). As you said, I think this was more to do with the direction rather than Bale himself, as Nolan was trying to tell the story of Bruce Wayne, and Bale in the cowl seemed like Bruce Wayne wearing a mask rather than "Batman".

Totally. That's why I'd love Bale back as Batman, but this time under Snyder's direction in Justice League.

Yes. A definite no to Gosling as Batman. I still can't believe anyone who thinks he'd make a good Batman have read any Batman comics or watched any BTAS episodes. Gosling would make a damn fine Flash, but Batman? Too meek. Too soft. Not edgy or aggressive enough, even when he's trying to be.

Michael Fassbender over Ryan Gosling. I'm starting to believe less in Gosling as Batman. He couldn't deliver the definitive Batman from the comics and animated series. Fassbender and Manganiello I believe could deliver that.

As awesome as it'd be to have Fass as Batman, it's not going to happen. 1) He's Magneto in a successful and ongoing Marvel movie franchise, 2) He's too old, unfortunately.

"But Chris Evans was the Human Torch and Captain America!", yes, but the Fantastic Four movies weren't successful and not many people saw them. X-Men First Class was a hit, and its sequel is shaping up very nicely.

Im willing to compromise and say he would make for a great Bruce Wayne (private and public) but maybe not Batman. I think it wouldn't be a problem in his own movies like the way Keaton did 2 movies with a director he liked working with, then he was recast and the direction changed. So if he were to do that with say...Nicolas Winding Refn (with Cranston as Gordon...one big Drive reunion)...it would work for their take.

But maybe not for Justice League, there's probably going to be a lot of talking in the cowl to Superman and the rest.

He was the first guy that came into my head 2 years ago when they had said Batman would be rebooted. The perfect guy for Bale to pass the torch to.

Me too. It's a guaranteed new suit, new gadgets, new fighting techniques, not as rough on the voice. Basically all the things that people criticized would be washed away and all the things people loved about him would stay. That's why I wanted him to return.

    Agreed.

Well I've warmed up to him. He has what it takes to be Bruce and Batman. His age might be an issue though. And it's no disrespect to Fass, but he looks older than 36.

Would it sell? Considering Bruce is still supposed to be just a vigilante?

However, I imagine JL-WF to take place a few years after MOS2. So it should be fine. I think everybody wants a RDJ anyway - Batman pushing 50 by a few films.

Really? I thought Fassbender was in his early-mid 40's. :/

I don't really want to see any more Keaton-esque takes. I just want a definitive Batman from the comics.

Yep. Snyder understands the comics a lot more than Nolan does, I think he'd give us a badass BatBale. It's the only reason I still hope they can convince Bale to come back.

Joe's still my Batman. I really can't see Fassbender being cast as Batman for the reason I stated earlier. He's Magneto in a successful and ongoing Marvel movie franchise.

    I know. It's very unlikely.

And if there was a chance, Assassins Creed would hinder it further :(

Your Flash photo isn't showing, thought you meant Gosling as Batman, lol. But yeah, Gosling would make an awesome Flash.

Yep, forgot about that. I wonder if they're gonna do the whole Animus thing. I hope not. It was the worst part of those games.

Fassbender is a better actor than Manganiello, but I really think Manganiello could do the Conroy Batman well.

Fassbender might be my top choice now too, I agree with Shauner. Fassbender, Manganiello or Gosling in that order

Fassbender I believe could bring the comic book Batman to life.

He has the right amount of seriousness, but not enough so that it wouldn't seem out the ordinary to perfom crazy ****. That's a perfect blend of Keaton and Bale imo.

Right now, he's the only actor I can see pull off both Bruce and Batman seamlessly.

But will it happen? If WB can perform miracles, then yes.

Has to be Manganiello, Hamm or Bomer.

    I´m tired of blonde Waynes...

Manganiello do have that mature rough look from Kane´s vision, and is a bulkier version than Bale´s.
