Just think about it. Michael Keaton is an amazingly talented (and underrated) actor with tremendous range.

So bring him back to the Batman film franchise, this time as a villain opposite Bale's Batman.

Who could he play?

I could see Keaton as Edward Nigma, Jervis Tetch, maybe even Hugo Strange.

Or, he could play a completely new villain.

Thoughts?

As much as I'd love the idea, I don't think this really needs its own thread.

It'd be a cool idea, and going for the random, off-the-wall casting IS what Christopher Nolan specializes in, but personally, I just don't agree that much that he's all that great of an actor. Now Val Kilmer, there's a guy that can do a role when he wants to.

But for Keaton, if he had to be in it, I think Riddler would be the best choice, unless they're going for a young Riddler.

Keaton could play another imposter.

:hehe:

The circle would be complete.

Sorry, but I think this is an absolutely terrible idea.

the best person for keaton to play would be the wrath...

the wrath could actually work fantastically in a batman film.

the twist on it would be instead of having his parent killed on the night bruce was born, he'd have his son killed instead.

instead of being bruce's peer, he would be an older father role model at a simlar age to gordon (making him want to target barbera).

keaton's wrath vs bale's batman.

i think i've come in my pants

Eaaasy there, rain.

Keaton's Batman appearances are long gone. I'd rather just remember him for what he's already done (which I loved).

I don't think there's anyway we'll ever see Keaton play another character in a Batman film. I think it would just cause to much of a stir-up. Could it be cool? Yeah, it could. But also.... could it backfire? Hell yes, it could.

keaton has no place in a nolan film.

unless he plays a taxi driver or something.

You don't need Keaton to do that.

As much as I love Keaton, all he would do was take away from the film. I grew up with the Burton films, so I just couldn't get into my childhood Batman vs. Bale's Batman. Not to mention all the stupid banter we'd hear from "civilians". "OMG, it's like Batman vs. Batman!" And they would all laugh because their joke was so original. I could barely take everyone running around saying "Why So Serious?" all the time.
