I was inspired to make this after seeing "A Mighty Wind" earlier today. The movies this guy and his regulars make ("Waiting for Guffman", "Best in Show") are genius. Who else is a fan?

I am.

Best in Show is my favorite out of those 3.

And I'm looking forward to his next one -'For Your Consideration'- that comes out later this year.

Most of Guest's films are on my must see list, but I have seen This Is Spinal Tap, which is the most amazing piece of rock and roll satire in the history of pop culutre, and Guest contributed a great deal to that masterpiece.

He's too friggin' funny. I almost shat myself when he came onscreen in Princess Bride. I was like, "Dude!"

"it's so black, that it's like; how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. none more black." genius. best in show and a mighty wind are also some of the funniest movies ever.

Christopher Guest directed "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman".

AS you all know, I'm a GTS fan.

Therefore, I have a special place in my heart for Christopher Guest.

I watched Waiting for Guffman again today. Utterly genius.

I'm on a countdown for For Your Consideration.

can't wait to see Ricky Gervais in it either.

I love Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and This is Spinal Tap. I have yet to see Waiting For Guffman but i'd probably love it too. I'm really looking forward to For Your Cosideration.

I love everything he's done, and I cannot wait for For Your Consideration. I'm sure it will be brilliant as well.

this is spinal tap is absolute genius. its my favorite guest film. though, i actually didnt like best in show at all. a mighty wind was f**king hilarious though. im watching waiting for guffman for the first time tonight.

Best in Show is amazing. But I can't decide whether that one or Waiting for Guffman is better. :csad: I loved the idea and the execution of obsessive dog owners, but I found some things in WfG just hysterical, moreso than I did for BiS.

The 'Raging Bull' audition in WfG is one of my favorite parts of the whole movie, along with Eugene Levy's character bowling a gutterball.

And by the way, I just HATE you... and I hate your... ass... FACE!

:oldrazz:

I have WFG and BIS memorized and would have AMW memorized if I owned it.
The amazing thing is, when they do those, they film like 200 hours of improv, and then whittle it down.
Imagine all the good stuff we never saw.

Example, I don't know what they were thinking, 'cause the funniest song in AMW was short, but they cut it out  but it's in the extras.
It's called "Corn Wine" and it slays us.

I'd love to list all of the genius things, like the Remains of the Day lunch box, and when he lists every kind of nut, and the Catherine O'Hara drunk talking about how her husband needed penis reduction surgery, but I'd be here all day.

I could spend all day watching his movies.
