Documentary/Biopic Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer

I'm still waiting for my local (real) IMAX to show TDK because I know they still have the print somewhere.

My Regal is showing them on a pretty good RPX screen. Brand new theater built in 2021. Very nice projection quality. Saw Oppy there. Pretty excited to see Nolan’s old movies on the big screen again. Too bad they couldn’t include The Prestige on this deal.

According to The Numbers…

Japanese box office is up to $10.8M. Which puts the world-wide total at $975.8M. Probably won’t get much beyond that.

Less huge films than before the pandemic but still money to be made. Maverick, Barbie, Mario & Oppenheimer were big surprises while a bunch of films expected to be big didn’t make anywhere near as much as expected.

Amazing final total it will be, but a shame it couldn’t get over the line for a billion.

Please let him be in the next Nolan movie.

Wouldn't be the first time they worked together.

Western, horror or more science fiction for me too.

What I would love to see him do one day is a period murder mystery film with possible subtle science fiction elements. Something like Agatha Christie meets The Prestige.
