Anyone pick up the preview issue? I got it because I saw Garth Ennis' name on it, I like the name "Wormwood," and it was only 99 cents. Glad I did. It was hilarious from beginning to end and seems kind of like Ennis' own anti-Preacher in some ways. It's about the son of Satan, his buddy Jesus (incarnated for a second time but ignoring that sacrifice-yourself-for-man's-sins nonsense this go 'round), and his bunny Jimmy, whom he decided to give the power of speech to on a whim. Ennis at his best.

New. The preview came out today and the series is coming out later, but I couldn't find any details on a release date. It's from Avatar Press.

Really enjoyed both issues so far. Highlight would have to be satan talking to danny like any other disappointed father.

Ha, I forgot I started this thread. I'm enjoying Chronicles of Wormwood quite a bit. I complain sometimes about how Ennis tends to tackle the same themes in every series he writes, but he does it just differently enough each time that those themes still seem fresh. I'm looking forward to the next issue's "spiritual road trip." The more Jesus the better with this series.

picked it up this week, really good read and it should be a great series, although it does basically come off as Garth thinking "Ya know, Millar had a good thing going with that Chosen book, maybe I'll just pick up where he left off..."
